When you arrive, you have to go on a scavenger hunt to find the check-in, at the indigo hotel around the corner, then parking isn't included, they charge you an additional 50 USD for parking in their building (they share with the Indigo). Now really be aware, the parking is organized by a third party (metropolis) - at the check in we have been informed, to just register through the qr-code in the garage, however, when you do so, they charge you whenever you exit and enter and that on the hourly rate. So we had suddenly a bill of 150 USD for a day we had to drive in and out 3 times... There is apparently a way to book through the website a hotel pass which prevents that. However you can't change that after the fact, so have to do it prior.
Those are predatory business practices and designed to be that way, even after a complaint at the parking company 50 EUR were refunded "out of goodwill". While surely it's the parking company who is at fault, it's the hotel property and it's them introducing their guests to the service.

What do you think would make your next stay better? We had reserved 3 rooms: 501, 503, and 504 from 8/18-8/19/2026. The HOT water was turned off from 11 pm until 10 am the next morning. So, no warm/hot water for bathing/showers. This was not a accidental shut-off, this was planned and guests were not told in advance. We returned from the concert to a letter under our door. They offered all guests the "sorry for the inconvenience" but no discount or refund or free parking or for the next time, stay 1 day free on us, etc. Since when is it okay to rip-off people? I suppose this demonstrates how much Holiday Inn values it's guests and loyal members. Also, we need to start asking about any temporary outages that will affect our stay. This was my worse experience and I will think twice before I stay at another Holiday Inn, but I am sure they don't care any way.

3-Star hotels generally include a hair blowdryer and in-room coffee pot; thus, very 'basic' amenties for the standard 3-star IHG hotel. PLUS the wonkiness of taking this elevator to get to this elevator (with very long hallways in-between) to get to your room (as two hotels share the same building). Customer service is MEH as, once again, you have no idea where to go (much like the elevators) to even check-in. But on the PLUS side, the rooms are very clean; location is excellent in an area with minimal traffic, thus very quiet at nights.

It was very horrible experience to just check in the hotel and get in the room . We got down with all luggage at the front of the hotel and then there is a note that check in is moved one block away from the actual entrance of the hotel . Then we had to go again one block away to get our room keys and then had to drive back to the same entrance to check inside the room . Overall experience is bad and time consuming especially after long drive of 8 hours

Have an on-property manager. Allow entrance and check-in on-property instead of a block away. Limit entrance to one elevator on-property instead of three separate ones. Manage alcohol/marijuana laced 150+ weekend "twerking" pool parties and them remove pubic and hair extension leftovers from the pool after the event has concluded while shocking the water with pool chemicals. Can you say "gross." Eliminate food, spills, and cigar butts on elevator floors. This is the 2nd poor experience I've had with an Austin-based Holiday Inn Express. The first resulted in my vehicle being broken into and having three guns stolen. QUESTION - If you were me, would you come back for a third experience or move on to a different vendor?
