  The front desk people are rude and slow. They have no concept of costumer service or multi tasking. Starting when we checked in at 6:30pm for a work conference. They were making everyone here for the conference pay a $50 deposit even though it was already paid for by the organization hosting the conference. We had a meeting in the hot l starting at 7:30. Everyone who argued about the deposit was threatened to lose their reservation. We paid the deposit and missed the meeting. We put our things in our room and went to get dinner. When we arrived back our tv wasn’t working and i called guest services. I was told to unplug the tv. We’ve been watching tv on the iPad. Late at night i went down to get a snack and put it on my personal card. After the woman scanned my crunch bar I stood there long enough that I started scrolling on my phone. Eventually I looked up and said, “Is it ready for my card?” She said, “What does it say on the card reader?”, I said, “Sorry, usually people will tell me when to tap my card.” I mean, I’m not an idiot but she’s at work and I’m getting a snack at 2am. Help me out. Their website says they have a spa. Call and ask to make an appointment with the spa. If you’re looking for an ice machine, you’ll have to go from floor to floor to find an ice machine that works. We’re on the 3rd floor, my husband finally came back down after finding a working ice machine on the 10th floor. I took a bath and the handle to operate the temperature fell off. There’s a memo above the AC that says, “Temperature changes have a 5 minute delay.” Why? Make sure you bring a charging port because you won’t find anywhere to plug any kind of charging cable. This hotel has not been updated or modernized. Expect long lines when checking in. It’s just a sh*t show, from the highway, frontage road, the parking lot, and check in is a disaster. I don’t know if today was a special circumstance but I would say, this place is surrounded by hotels. Try the other ones first.

  Great location and even better people There aren't many places where you can stay in downtown Austin, walk around the corner, and be on the Lady Bird Lake trail almost immediately. The river is beautiful, and the trail leads right back into downtown. It's an older property with the quirks that come with that, but the service is what stands out. The front desk staff are kind, knowledgeable, and helpful, and someone even puts out morning coffee with real half-and-half. Lee, who drives the free airport shuttle, is friendly and punctual, and the Halloween decorations he put up in the lobby were so fun. My daughter loved them! Hats off to the entire team who ran the show during our stay. They combined professionalism with true Texas warmth and hospitality. Highly recommend!

  Honestly, this place is a great value for money play especially if you can get room 1406 or 1407 - they are massive, high ceiling, and have a crazy sunset lake and skyline view. Location wise it's easy to get pretty much everywhere in central and East Austin. Maddox was fantastic and friendly at check in and George was super helpful as we got sorted for our stay. If we had known about this all we would have just stayed here our whole trip - great value recommendation!

  This hotel is located right beside the interstate at the edge of the skyline. At the time of booking (~1 month ahead) this was one of the cheaper places to stay in the area. The room I was in was dated but clean and spacious. The Air Conditioning worked perfectly. The shower pressure was not great in my room. I was in the south tower located on top the interstate — expect to hear emergency vehicles and people revving their engines. My room had a microwave and a mini fridge, although the shelving inside the mini fridge was missing. There was no safe in the room to store my passport. Parking is free, you can access the parkade in the south tower with your room key. There was plenty of parking available on my Friday night stay. You are a short walk away from the river trail where you can easily walk to downtown Austin or rent a Kayak. I was able to walk from the hotel to the Capitol quite easily. There are plenty of e-scooters and e-bikes nearby as well. Overall a pleasant stay for my first time in Texas.

  Stayed a night to go to a concert at the moody center . Arrived room was great everything we needed for our stay. We got ready left to our show . I left setting the thermostat lower room felt hot. We returned to a hot room that was not cooling. Was late around 12:30 on our return. Thermostat reading 82 looked at the unit and found the filter removed it and have to say maintenance needs to step up there game. Filter was so dirty ac unit was staving for air. Left filter out and the ac started right away dropping temp. Got as low as 65 in room after. Bed was great. Just let the front desk know about the filter needing to be changed in my room when l was checking out the next day other than that stay was great. Just might have to check out those filters if room is not cooling.
