The bat cruise delivers on everything it promises and more. I came for the bats but was blown away by the breathtaking views of Austin’s skyline. Tour guide was great, he had a lot of interesting facts about the city and had a playlist with Texas musicians, his love for the city really showed. Highly recommend

We had an awesome Sunset Bat Cruise with Captain Alec. He was very knowledgeable on the local area and the bats, and gave us a super fun tour. We saw tons of swarms of bats and learned a lot. The boat was comfortable and we would totally do this again. It was affordable for our group of 10. I would suggest getting to the docks 30ish minutes before the cruise if you have a big group to sort out seating.

Loved the canoe experience. Very calm lake to canoe on. Experience is great if you'll love the quiet setting of the sunset. The birds and ducks playing next to you in the water with all the friendly people riding in their own types of canoes enjoying the peace and quiet bit also just as friendly as well. So if your looking for that serene quiet getaway. Then I recommend taking your wife friend husband boyfriend girlfriend, he'll even your kids just not recommended for taking babies in the canoe. Just a precaution for being a parent and seeing why you shouldn't. But overall still a 5 start spot also located in a very elegant hotel as well. So looking for a getaway for the weekend in Austin rent you the room and hop canoeing, you'll love it.

We had our wedding reception with Capital Cruises, and the experience exceeded our expectations. The team was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire planning process, always friendly, responsive, and easy to work with.
One thing that meant a lot to us was that they allowed some of our family members to board early so they could decorate before guests arrived. That flexibility helped everything come together smoothly and took a lot of stress off our shoulders on the big day.
The crew was professional, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone had a great experience. As a special bonus, they even extended the cruise slightly to give us a bat tour at the end of the evening, taking the time to answer questions and share information about the bats. It was a memorable way to end the celebration and something our guests really enjoyed.
If you're considering Capital Cruises for a wedding reception or special event, we highly recommend them. The excellent customer service, flexibility, and attention to detail they provided helped make our wedding day unforgettable.

I received a text saying that I had been marked “no show” as we were pushing off. Justin did not have his patter down, and just as the bats were starting to emerge, he announced that he had had a cup of coffee before we left and that Capital Cruises didn’t allow the boats to stay out 15 minutes after 9 pm. We were docked and offloaded at least 15 minutes before the other boat. As a result, we missed most of the flight.
If they know the flight isn’t likely to start until close to 9 pm, they need to move the start of the tour later so that the “captains” with small bladders don’t cut the main attraction short.
