  Fun night watching the bats from our kayak, which was super comfortable even though it was old. We had a private tour guide which was a nice surprise, as other companies had very large groups per guide. Our tour guide was great. Funny and knowledgeable, and knew how to get us the best vantage point.

  Picture perfect sight seeing, interesting facts along the way, very peaceful ride and great weather. I did the 1pm tour mid May. My five children (15, 12, 6, 4 and 2) enjoyed themselves. They allowed you to take snacks so I took plenty of fruit, crackers, pepperoni and string cheese.

  The Capital Cruise bat watching excursion was amazing. We went on May 14th, and had the best guide. He informed us early on that we may not see lots of bats since they can’t control nature, but we would see animals and a glorious sunset which we did. Then as the time approached for bats to fly from the bridge, he positioned the boat in a strategic place by the tree line. Suddenly the sky right behind the trees were filled with hundreds and hundreds of bats flying off toward the places they eat. Then we moved close to the bridge and using a red light, he shined it where we could see more and more bats flying out of the bridge. All throughout the tour he pointed out buildings, told history of Austin, and facts about birds and bats. Truly a magical experience. Go on this cruise.

  Amazing experience! My husband and I are visiting Austin and I've wanted to go on the bat cruise for tears and we had an opportunity. It didn't disappoint. Smooth and calm boat ride and watching the bats fly was incredible. I highly recommend Capital Cruises. They're awesome

  i went on a boat for a wedding rehearsal dinner and it was really chill i got to give a speech and all my friends got tipsy at the bar. then we tried to go up top for pictures and realized we were sinking the boat so we had to get down. but thats not their fault thats a problem with boats. unbeknownst to me, austin has bats. you can see these bats fly out of the bridge that they roost in at sunset. apparently, the lovely groom and bride (and capital cruises!) timed it perfectly for us to pass under the bridge as they were flocking away for the night. i dont know if the parking voucher just didnt work or if the hyatt parking is actually 38 dollars for 3 hours thats #crazy! the voucher was only for $20
