Welcome to the Candlewood Suites South in Aransas Pass, Texas!
There are a lot of commercial and port industry projects in the works in our area so make your reservations if you will be working long term. We are in a great location along the Harbor with immediate access to the beach, ferry, and Port of Corpus Christi projects. We are close to Kiewit Offshore, GCGV Exxon, The Midway Windfarm, OXY, Harbor Island, Cheniere & Bechtel.
While staying at our hotel in Aransas Pass visit this beach town's attractions. Have dinner at one of the local, fresh seafood restaurants. Go for a guided fishing expedition. Take the ferry to Port Aransas and have lunch on the beach. Or take a drive across the Bay to visit downtown Corpus Christi.
Have dinner with friends at any of our excellent restaurants with a water view such as Redfish Willies or Fisherman's Cove. We also recommend the Butter Churn.
You can also enjoy our services like the 24-hour business center, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, flexible meeting space, and free coffee 24-hours in the Candlewood Cupboard. During your stay take a dip in our saltwater pool, sit on the patio under the gazebo and enjoy the sea breezes while making dinner on one of the built-in grills.

- MPMario PeralesJul 10, 20264.0This place was close to everything that I was looking for: fishing near Rockport, access to the island without spending ALOT of money and close to a supermarket, 2 doors down from HEB. The Pro's: Check-in was quick, Jessica was a sweetheart. She smiled during the whole transaction, she gave me suggestions for fishing spots close by and good food spots as well. She made me feel welcome from the get go. The room was honestly nicer than expected (pics included). The room was clean and well stocked. Our room had a kitchenette, stocked with pots, pans, dishes, dishwasher etc. there was a laundry room to wash if needed. The Cons: no room service , if I needed towels, I had to go to the lobby and swap. The hallways and elevators weren't clean ALL the time, maybe short staffed and doing the best they can but one day it was dirty, the next it was clean.. like I said , maybe short staffed and behind on duties? The patio grills were dirty. Yes they provided grills AND utensils to cook with but they looked bad, I wouldn't cook with those utensils. Lastly, the iron burned a hole in my shirt within 5 seconds of applying it to my shirt. I DO know how to iron so I know it wasn't me but that was probably the worst thing that I experience because I could leave this hotel with opinions about the cleanliness but I can't leave the hotel with my shirt intact. I'm down one nice button up shirt. All in all it was a nice stay, quiet area, 5 minute drive to the ferry if you want to go to the island. I would most likely return.
