I would like to give a review of the rooms and service but I didn't get that far... I was driving cross country from California and reached this hotel at around 1am. I backed into a parking place and walked to the cargo area of my van to change clothes so I could go inside to rent a room. Before I could finish changing, a blond man came up to my driver's window and shined a flashlight in searching my front seats. After a brief search, he went to the passenger window and began shining his light into the cargo area of my van, where I was. I stayed out of sight until he got back into his vehicle and parked around the back of the building. I don't think he saw me. That was enough to make me uncomfortable leaving my van in the parking lot while I went inside, so after he was out of sight, I left and drove to another hotel down the road.

Our stay here was phenomenal! I'm very cheap when it comes to hotels and I normally get a motel for like $100, but my spouse got this hotel room for $150 a night and it was well worth the money. Rooms were spacious, clean, good smelling, and the air conditioner was super powered. My kid told me to also relay on here that she's a terrible sleeper and she slept like a baby in that bed last night. Lots of linen options for anyone whether you sleep hot or sleep cold. The windows open and have a window screen to prevent bugs from getting in. The room is very clean and they did fancy, pretty things with the towels and the shower curtain to make it feel a little extra special. There were amenities such as an ironing board, a hair dryer, fairly big size room fridge, a microwave, a desk, a chair, a bench, washer and dryer, shampoo conditioner and body wash, fancy soap and lotion, and more. The pool is big and clean and they have specific pool towels available. The free breakfast was amazing, probably the best one I've been to. It includes Texas shaped pancakes with toppings, lots of condiment options including lots of sugar free options and sugar substitute packets, 10ish different flavors of tea bags, eggs sausage and biscuits with gravy, yogurt with toppings, lots of baked goods including muffins, bagels, Manifesto brand brownies, etc. they had 3 flavors of cream cheese, mini Nutella and peanut butter packets, fresh fruit, and more. They also had fresh, cold water and 3 types of juice. It was amazing as far as hotel breakfast buffets go, and it was complimentary. Everyone working there was friendly and quick and kept up with making sure everyone's needs more met. I got pictures of the food available for breakfast and of the facilities. Lots of parking available. No elevator but the doors are outside the stair shafts and so it wasn't very far to walk to get from our car to our hotel room. The pool has one of those ADA compliant motorized seats for people who need to be lowered into the pool. I think that's a nice touch because most hotel pools don't have that available. Highly recommend, would definitely stay here again.

I stay in Best Westerns because they are typically reasonably priced and nicely maintained. This Best Western is, by far, the worst Best Western I've ever stayed in. It is located in a sketchy industrial area, facing the freeway. Both the interior and exterior are the same quality as a Motel 6, but about $100 more per night. Marriots and Hiltons in the area cost less than what I paid for this motel. The air conditioner was so noisy in the first room that my mom asked me to go somewhere else and call her because she couldn't hear me. The rooms are painted a very garish blue, and not painted well. There is paint on the air conditioning unit and bleeding onto the non-blue walls. The drawers of the tv cabinet were broken and wouldn't go in straight. I asked to move to another room. It wasn't much better but I was exhausted. One thing I like about Best Westerns is that you rarely hear other people next door. Not the case here. I could hear the kids next door banging on the wall and yelling late into the night. I could also hear doors opening and closing along the hallway, as well as traffic and people talking outside my window. There was absolutely no sound proofing. The air conditioner in the second room wasn't loud but it also didn't cool the room. I thought I just needed to give it time to cool the room, but it never did cool down. I slept very little that night and had to pull over twice to nap on my drive the following day. To compensate me for the horrible night, they refunded $20 for the room (still making it more expensive than the Hiltons and Marriots in the area) and gave me 5000 points on my reward account. Honestly, I've lost complete trust in Best Western after staying at this location and don't know if I'll ever trust them enough to stay at any location again. If you are in Amarillo, you would be better off paying much less to stay at a Motel 6 or pay a little less to stay at a Marriot or Hilton.
