  Booked in advance, required a roll in shower for wheelchair bound guest, traveling via car across 3 states, 45 mins away from hotel a family member already at hotel inquired our room number prior to arriving.. front desk stated our payment didnt process and our room was going to be canceled. No one had informed me there was an issue with payment until my relative called me frantic. After clearing up the transaction issue and payment was successfully resolved, I was asked how much longer it would take to arrive because there was an in person incidental fee for the roll in shower. I stated the GPS indicated 45 mins away, I was told to not be later than 45 mins or they may have to cancel my reservation. Having traveled over 20 hours, driving across 3 states, with a disabled parent paralyzed on one half of their body, we almost missed out on having a place to sleep had my relatives not inquired on our behalf since the hotel didnt care to I form us of the payment hiccup and then told to not be later than 45 mins "or else". The poor attendant explained how per her manager they weren't suppose to hold the room any longer of us after the payment didnt process and her manager would be upset if she let us stay, I had to plead with her while pumping gas 45 mins away to please dont put us out with no where to go at midnight/1am over fear of her manager being upset. Weigh it, your manager upset vs. A wheelchair bound paralyzed guest with no where else to stay. Luckily she allowed us to retain our reservation after several minutes of assuring her she was DOING THE RIGHT THING and if needed I'd speak to whomever to ensure she was not retaliated against for providing us the room we reserved. The room attendant thought it was funny and saw fit to laugh in my face when my parent ran my toes over in the power chair while trying to squeeze out of the room. It was quite painful and I spoke up to tell her it was rude of her to laugh at me, she said she didnt mean it like that.. im not quite sure how else you mean to laugh at someone, when there was nothing funny to laugh at in the first place. Made no sense. The morning lobby attendant, her name begins with an "R" I want to say Rayanne but thats not it, my apologies but she alone gets 1000 stars. She was extremely pleasant, greeted everyone warmly, remembered my relatives birthday and even wished her a happy birthday as soon as she saw us coming.

  Absolutely terrible place to stay! From customer service to complete disgust! Literally walked in our room to a string pee smell! Sheets were disgusting! Stained and active smell of pee. Called to the front desk and I was told “we don’t have any options for you but you can come get new sheets.” Completely neglected the facts the nastiness of the the room! Shower door wouldn’t close either! Pee on the walls and doors and just absolutely horrible! They really just change the top layer and don’t clean anything else! So pissed off! I have a video that will definitely be posted!

  This place should be rated a 1 star hotel. It has an awful smell, the bedcovering was dirty and smelled like marijuana and there is no security. Left and went to another hotel!

  My Wife caught the Maid searching through our belongings, We checked out early after that. Contacted BW Headquarters but they did not get back to us. Probably my last stay at a BW hotel

  I almost exclusively stay at Best Western when I travel. The only time I don't, is when there is not a Best Western accessible. Over the years, I have come to expect great accommodations from BW. The Best Western Abilene is without question the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I was shocked. My room had a musty wet scent and felt damp. Most of the accessible wall sockets were worn-out and would not support a cell phone charging block making them unusable for charging. My bathroom had a mildew scent and a urine scent at/ around the toilet. There was very little toilet paper on the roll, and the body soap and shampoo dispensar pump bottles were empty. I had to go to the front lobby desk for toilet paper, soap and shampoo. Along the hallway, there was dirt and mud in numerous places (likely from the guests that work in the surrounding oil fields, that track it in when returning from work). Although after this experience at this location, I will never stay there again, there are two positives. The hotel staff (front lobby desk) were professional and polite and the hotel sits literally about 100 feet off of the 20 Interstate Freeway (easy quick access). I would hope the Best Western Hotel Corporation does something about this Abilene location because it is not up to the Best Western quality standards.
