  I have been a IHG Sapphire Elite / Diamond Elite consistently since 2009. I booked a suite at this property because it had a half height refrigerator, sink, and microwave. Question: Why were coffee makers / hot water makers removed from all rooms at this property? There was a sign on the counter saying, “In order to protect the environment, please join us downstairs in the lobby for a fresh cup of coffee.” I want to make my own coffee in my room. I do not want to trudge down to the lobby to get my coffee when I wake up. Environmental reasons? I think not. Hang your towel up if you don’t want it washed to save the environment? I think not. The franchise and owner want to save money. Full stop. Removing coffee makers from the room - the last straw. In addition, the bathroom was full of hair all over the floor when I checked in. It was so dirty that I drove across the street to Walmart to purchase a roll of paper towels and windex to clean it. The property needs updating. Work crews were ripping the exterior siding and rotten external wall sheathing away when I was there. To top things off, I used to be heavily involved for multiple decades with IHG, first hiring them to operate an Intercontinental Hotel and a Hotel Indigo in NYC that my partnership owned (along with 16 other boutique properties in the Northeastern US), and then as a new brand rollout consultant focusing on all aspects of real estate site selection, financial pro-formas, statistical analysis, and project management. I miss Keith Barr. Very disappointing and, frankly, embarrassing. Not recommended. Go to the Marriott.

  The staff are all friendly and helpful, the room was clean, and the continental breakfast was both delicious and filling. Anytime I need to stay in Tullahoma I will definitely be staying here.

  My room was on the first floor, and it smelled like mildew. The thermostat didn’t seem to actually control the temperature. The window faced cars in the parking lot at eye level, just a few feet away. The parking spots don’t have stop blocks so you just have to hope that nobody crashes into your room while you sleep. The windows were clearly not sound proof, so be prepared to be woken up by the freight train several times per night. Breakfast was ok, but it did not contain any diced potato or hash browns (which are a breakfast staple at most hotels). For over $100 it just wasn’t a great experience overall and I would go somewhere else next time.
