  We stayed here two nights. Main reason for travel was to cycle Cades Cove on a Wednesday. The beds were very comfortable. The refrigerator was a nice size. The location was great. Close to cove and other attractions and eating places in area. The breakfast was good. I saw one small bug in the shower but could not identify the type. We are in mountains. Some guest saw bears from hotel. They are all around this area. People want to see bears from a distance. The building is old but the maintenance people were very responsive when we reported the broken microwave knob. We did not report the lamp and outlet not working next to one of the beds. Some areas could use a deep clean…stoppers in sinks, tub, shower curtains, floors. The staff were helpful but could be friendlier.

  Dirty and roaches!!! Very very Dissappointed. We have stayed here in the past and it was always a nice clean place but this time the bathroom was dirty with hair on the floor, in bathtub and on the back of the toilet. And then we find roaches. I believe it has new ownership and they have very little pride in their establishment.

  very nice hotel, a large room with excellent service with a smile, from the hotel's CEO, Mr. ANDRE, and also very good service from the person in charge of the dining room, AIN. The food is varied and nothing is missing. Everything is tasteful. Thank you for the hospitality!!

  Booking: Somehow I got booked at a rate of $197... when Bestwestern.com was $111 + taxes. When I inquired at the hotel desk at check in, I was told that they couldn't lower my rate. So be careful what website you book with. I don't feel this was anywhere near a $197/night room Room: Room was clean and up to date. Bed was new. Room freshly renewed. Room was clean. AC worked great. Hot water great. Wifi was good. Only negative was the extremely cheap bath towels. Room was bare bones. Just a small table and two chairs. there was an about 45" TV on wall with standard channels. Parking lot was 100% full on our side of hotel. (no sure about other side). No Pool. Cell Service: Townsend isn't known for it's great cell service. In the parking lot I could get about 4 bar of Verizon 5G. In room it was down to 2 bar and slow data. Breakfast: typical free hotel breakfast. Pre cooked foods warmed up. They did have a fresh waffle iron. Food wasn't bad, but not something you would have paid for quality. Checkout: For some reason they wouldn't print me a room receipt so I had no way to review the bill. Even though I asked for one. He said I could review it where I made my reservation. I don't know if I got frivolous charges on my bill or not. Based on this and rate issue, this won't be my first choice in hotel in this location. I have a feeling I will have to dispute something on my credit card when I get the bill.
