  After a long day of travel, my wife and I were grateful to find the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sweetwater, Tennessee, tucked just off the freeway. The location couldn’t have been more convenient—less than a quarter mile from the interstate, yet far enough removed that we never heard a trace of road noise. From the moment we arrived, the experience felt warm and personal. A friendly young woman at the front desk greeted us with genuine hospitality and kindly acknowledged my Platinum Elite status. Her warmth set the tone for the rest of our stay. Our room was immaculately clean and carried a fresh, crisp scent that immediately made us feel at home. What impressed us most, however, was how wonderfully quiet it was. We slept deeply and undisturbed—something that has become rare at hotels near major highways. The following morning brought an unexpected highlight: the complimentary breakfast. I can honestly say it was the most impressive free breakfast we’ve ever had at an IHG property. The spread was generous and thoughtfully prepared, with a pancake machine that was a delightful surprise, an array of vegetable omelets, savory sausage patties, warm biscuits, seasoned potatoes, cinnamon rolls, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, several juice options, and piping-hot, freshly brewed coffee. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying—well beyond the usual expectations for a hotel buffet. We left feeling rested, well cared for, and genuinely impressed. For anyone traveling through the Sweetwater area who values convenience, cleanliness, quiet comfort, and a standout complimentary breakfast, we highly recommend the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It’s the kind of stay that turns an ordinary overnight into something memorable.

  It’s discussed, probably the worst hotel I’ve ever been to. I’m not lying: the service is terrible, the floors are super dirty, the shower doesn’t have hot water, rooms are dirty and horrible.

  I had to book this hotel at the last minute due to an unexpected change in travel plans while I was on the road, so I wasn't able to do the usual research I typically do before choosing a place to stay. I was pleasantly surprised by this location. The room was clean, quiet, and felt safe, which was exactly what I needed after a long day of traveling. I also used the guest laundry facilities during my stay and found them to be clean and fully functional. While some of the common areas could benefit from a little maintenance and updating, the guest room itself met the standards I expect from this brand. Overall, it was a comfortable stay and a good experience, especially for a last-minute booking.

  Spent the night (twice) when passing through on our way to and from Florida. I wasn’t expecting 5 star but a little better would have been nice. I feel like this was more motel quality, rather than hotel. Same room style, one week apart. First room was fairly clean. Sheets smelled a little funny. Staff aren’t very welcoming but not terrible either. Gentleman that caters to the breakfast buffet was nice. Second room smelled like cigarette and cheap cherry coverup smells. Stains on carpets and walls. Pool and gym closed on both stays. Reviews indicate it has been closed for months. No Reno’s just likely a lack of investing in the property. Food was pretty good!
