Spent the night (twice) when passing through on our way to and from Florida. I wasn’t expecting 5 star but a little better would have been nice. I feel like this was more motel quality, rather than hotel. Same room style, one week apart. First room was fairly clean. Sheets smelled a little funny. Staff aren’t very welcoming but not terrible either. Gentleman that caters to the breakfast buffet was nice. Second room smelled like cigarette and cheap cherry coverup smells. Stains on carpets and walls. Pool and gym closed on both stays. Reviews indicate it has been closed for months. No Reno’s just likely a lack of investing in the property. Food was pretty good!

Stayed here on our way to Florida and the next weekend on the way back. We needed the suite rooms for 6 people. First weekend we stayed on 4th floor and that room was decent. Stayed in a suite on the 1st floor on the way home and it smelled so bad in that room. Like old cigarettes and mildew and there was a plug in to try and cover up the smell, which made it worse. We caught a bug in the room. The carpet in the hallway was pulling up and wrinkled. Both visits the pool was closed, the ice machine on 1st floor was out of order, the "gym" was closed. Grateful I was able to sleep for a night but we will not book here again.

I should have read the reviews from the last several months. They are all correct and the pool/fitness center is still closed. I suggest finding a place in Athens or elsewhere.
