  I rarely leave reviews, but the team at Best Western Plus Apple Valley Lodge Pigeon Forge earned every single star. What started as a stressful situation turned into one of the most heartwarming experiences I’ve ever had traveling. While visiting Tennessee to get my daughter settled at UT Knoxville, my car unexpectedly broke down right under the covered main entrance of the hotel. My car sat blocking the drop-off area for over a day, but instead of being frustrated, the entire staff handled the situation with unbelievable grace, patience, and kindness. I was traveling with my special needs daughter, and navigating the stairs repeatedly to deal with the vehicle was a real challenge. Knowing this, one of the employees went completely above and beyond—they helped jump-start my car, moved it to a safe parking spot, and even came up to our room to hand-deliver the keys so we wouldn't have to make extra trips. Throughout our stay, the staff constantly checked in on us to make sure we were okay. Beyond the extraordinary service, the hotel itself was outstanding. The rooms were immaculate and spotlessly clean. From the front desk team to the housekeepers and groundskeepers, every single person we encountered treated us less like guests and more like family. They turned a awful breakdown into a wonderful memory. I am infinitely grateful for their compassion and cannot recommend this hotel highly enough!

  Wonderful hotel, we always stay here when in Pigeon Forge... Wonderfully clean spacious rooms and incredible staff.

  Staff: very friendly and seemed to be on top of things. Hotel lobby: also clean. Check in desks were very basic, but functional. They have assorted drinks and some snack foods you can purchase there. The price for those items were reasonable. Rooms: very clean. We had the room with bunk beds. The bunk beds were nice. Mattresses were a bit on the firm side. The king bed mattress was about medium on firmness. The pillows were useless. They were very tiny. Thank goodness I always travel with a pillow. Bathroom: Very clean with plenty of towels. The toilet would run sometimes. Maybe the seal needs replaced.? Breakfast: was decent. The lady who stocked the breakfast bar was working very hard to make sure there was plenty of food, the food area stayed clean, and organized. She was so sweet. I recommend leaving her a tip if you can.. Pool: pretty small, but still fun for little ones. The area is also clean and they provide towels there. Parking lot: SMALL. This is the only thing I had an issue with. They have another area you could park which was in a grassy field on the back side of the hotel. I didn't feel safe parking there at night.. Overall: This is a good hotel. We had a pretty good stay. I would stay here again. Especially with the convenience of an attached area or room with bunk beds for the kids! That's a nice. I would recommend this hotel. Very family friendly

  Fantastic stay—no regrets! I read a lot of reviews mentioning bugs, which made me really nervous about traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains. Fortunately, this hotel did not disappoint at all! Even though I only stayed for one night, the room was spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was super rich and delicious. Highly recommend!
