  I've stayed here a couple times now. Both times the general areas and my room were clean. The breakfast is predictable HI Express food - not the best, but I am always able to get enough to eat. (And I appreciated the fresh oranges they had.) A real upgrade is the individual coffee servings made from fresh ground beans. We went to a coffee shop in Knoxville after leaving, and the coffee at this Holiday Inn Express was better than the cups of we got at the coffee shop. And, it's close to Seven Islands State Bird Park if you want a good walk and a bird outing. Besides that, the location's positive is that it is easy to access from the freeway - it is NOT up in the smokies nor in Sevierville.

  The staff was always super friendly. My children loved their heated indoor pool. It was very clean and maintained throughout the day. Rooms were exactly as advertised. The staff did a wonderful job keeping not only the inside but outside of the hotel clean at all times! Only 2 downsides and neither is worthy of knocking a star rating off. The faucets in the sinks are oddly designed to be snug against the sink. When you go to use them you will inevitably make a mess on the counter. Second. No complimentary coffee pots in any rooms! I was informed it's one method of sustainability and you can easily request one in your room. I completely understand the tactic and will keep that as a future side note. 🙂 The hotel is located beside Bass Pro Shop and a cute selection of miscellaneous shops for eating. Down the road is a Buc-ee-s which is either a selling point for some or a deterrent for others 😂 Also, if you have children, a dog or are in need of a breather there is Optimism Park less than a mile that is spacious and has a mini loop walking trail, dog friendly, basketball hoops, bathrooms, playground, disc golf etc. My children are little detectives are enjoy finding flaws 🤦 With that said, they were disappointed to not find flaws and my husband and I were over joyed to be staying at a location that felt safe, clean and friendly.

  Rooms were clean. Free breakfast buffet which was more than adequate & wide variety. ☕ Machine is great. Brand freshly ground for each cup of coffee

  Had a great stay before heading to Dollywood the next day. Staff was wonderful, indoor pool was awesome for the kids, and husband loved walking to Bass Pro from here. Rooms were clean and only a 30ish minute drive to Dollywood from here depending on Pigeon Forge traffic.
