Ashley with the red hair and glasses at the check in desk was unforgivable and rude. Me and my family drove 10 hours here because the year before my grandmother purchased a time share. We arrived and was met with Ashely who treated us with rudeness and put a bad taste in our mouth about the trip. She told us we couldn’t get water park passes when we have a timeshare and it comes with it. Our room was a shoe box, and before hand we told her we had 5 people staying in a room, the room was a studio apartment, small kitchen, little to no seating, and one bed. The bathroom was the nicest part about the room but yet again it was small and the closet in the bathroom was locked. Why would I want a locked room in my bedroom ?! We were all wanting to relax after a 10 hour drive and we couldn’t because we got put in a toddler size room. On the other hand Kayla was amazing, we called and complained and Kayla got us situated and into a much nicer room which my grandmother had wanted. Peyton was amazing too, noting our issues and making sure this wouldn’t happened again. Summary, Ashley was awful. Kayla and Peyton amazing, give them both raises

It was purely amazing. Once I left to go back to our home state, I felt like a huge piece of me was missing and left behind. The views of the mountains were incredible. Our concierge, “Chris”, was very friendly and even gave us a tour on the whole place and explained some history on the place and told us stories. He even let us into a building on the top of the mountain and it was beautiful. The workers typically will drive you on golf carts when you need to get somewhere. But the best thing about this place is that other than golf carts that workers drive you around in, is the bus service that goes up and both down the mountain. It really helped us out especially with my grandma with knee problems. A part that I loved was that we seen some bears actively walking and scanning for trash— of course the security scared them off for safety purposes. It’s in the middle of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so it’s a perfect spot quite literally. It’s really close the “The Island” which made our experience even more pleasant. When you stay there, you’re really close to this mountain coaster where you can race either family or strangers. And speaking more on the whole resort, when you need something, all you have to do is contact room service and they’ll bring it to you. But either way this place is astonishing compared to where I live actually. So if you’re looking for a vacation for family, I highly recommend the Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort.

My spouse and I came to Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort to celebrate our anniversary. As a Westgate owner, I was looking forward to completing my owner update and receiving the advertised $150 gift card. Unfortunately, my assigned concierge canceled our appointment. Prior to and after that, I reached out multiple times to reschedule, but my messages were ignored. I wasn't contacted again until the morning we were checking out, at which point it was too late to complete the owner update. I was then told that the only way to receive the gift card was to complete the presentation. I completely understand that the gift card is contingent on attending the owner update. My frustration is that I made every effort to attend, but I wasn't given a fair opportunity because of the lack of communication from the concierge assigned to me. As an owner, this was a disappointing experience, especially during what was supposed to be a special anniversary trip. I hope Westgate improves communication with owners so others don't have the same experience. When i asked about the giftcard and was told inwoukd be getting one, i made dinner reservations and had to cancel. Very, very disappointed.

Time Share Presentation= VERY disrespectful! June 2026 Our overall experience was very nice. This was our second time staying here and we had to do the timeshare presentation both times. The first time was fine and they were polite when we declined. This time, however, was a totally different experience. Very high pressure. We told them from the very start that we had no interest in buying a timeshare. They still pressured us and made us sit there for an hour and a half while they disrespected us, were extremely condescending, and told us that our "wall" is built too high and we are "too scared". When we told them we had talked to several timeshare owners throughout the week there, they mocked us and said things like "why would you believe her? Do you know her personally? Oh you went to school with her? You don't like vacations? You don't like making memories?" Just extremely rude and disrespectful! Most of this was said from the concierge manager, Brad. I was dumbfounded at how rude he was. First of all, we said no, we are not interested! We do not owe them any sort of explanation! We will not be doing that again. Horrible experience. Other staff was mostly friendly and helpful.

I got roped into going to one of those time share type things, was promised a bunch of stuff, told them that I was short on time and the lady who signed me up said it would start at 9am and I would be done by 11am for sure. So, I agreed. Woke up early, checked out of my hotel early...got there at 9am, stood in line to check in for 15 mins, sat in the waiting room till 9:40am finally asked what was taking so long since I was the last one sitting the waiting room as I saw everyone else got taken back. Finally a manager comes over to me and says I should just cancel cuz there is no way I'd get out of there by 11am. She said they rarely take 90 mins and for whatever reason I never got pulled back after almost an hour. Then got stuck in 25 mins of traffic trying to get back to where I already was before I tried to go to the meeting. So all in all, I basically wasted the 90 mins and got none of the promised things. I did ask them if I could at least have the breakfast since I spent a hour waiting, they did let me have that, but it was quite mediocre (watery eggs, not flavorful gravy, the orange juice and apple juice was straight concentrate-decent sausage tho.) So I don't have a opinion on the actual stay or rooms- but the company associated with the time share...as everyone always says DON'T DO IT. Big waste of time. I will also say that it is not walkable from down town and with traffic in a car, it'll take you 25 mins to get down there. So location isn't great. And staff was kinda rude when I was frustrated after sitting there for a hour just for them to tell me I should cancel.
