This place is definitely older and a little outdated, but the price reflects that, so I really don’t think anyone should be surprised by it. For the price, I thought it was a great value.
The best part is the location. It’s directly beside the aquarium, on the river, and within walking distance of basically everything in downtown Gatlinburg. We never had to worry about paying for parking downtown. We could just walk to the restaurants, shops, whiskey tastings, moonshine tastings, and wine tastings.
The staff was great too. When I checked in, I was greeted at the front desk by a fellow veteran who was extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful. That was a really nice way to start the stay.
I stayed in the conference center portion on the 5th floor, so I didn’t have a river view. The hallway was a little warm, but that’s just an observation, not really a complaint. My room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, and the TV was great for watching something before bed.
I loved the view from the balcony overlooking downtown. I could even see Jason Aldean’s bar directly from my room. The front of the property is very inviting too, especially at night with the lights across the bridge.
Breakfast was perfectly fine for the price. We had muffins, coffee, and granola bars. I honestly have zero real complaints.
If you’re expecting a brand-new luxury resort, this probably isn’t the place for you. But if you want a clean, comfortable place with friendly staff, a good price, and an excellent location, this is a great value.
The price and location were easily the best parts, and I would definitely stay here again.

Holly and Donna at the front desk were awesome as we’re the others don’t know the rest of their names. The location is great. You can walk pretty much to everything in Gatlinburg. The hotel is a little outdated. It needs some renovations, but it was comfortable and clean, and the staff was very friendly, kind and accommodating. I would stay here again in the future.
I had left a item in the room. Once I got home and unpacked 7 hours later I immediately contacted the front desk and told them. She said she would check and I also filled out a lost ticket report through the link she provided. After over 20 hours of no response I contacted them back to be told they had spoke with security and housekeeping had not found the item I know i left and where I left it. Needless to say housekeeping got a free robe that I loved hope they enjoy it as much as I did.
We had a mixed experience during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel was great and very convenient. The beds were also comfortable, and we had plenty of nice, hot water.
Unfortunately, the room itself was a little disappointing. The shower and sink had stains that made them look dirty, the room was pretty outdated, and the blinds were broken. I think the room could really use some updating and a little more attention to cleanliness and maintenance.
Overall, we appreciated the friendly staff, comfortable beds, hot water, and great location. With some updates to the rooms, I think this hotel could be a much nicer place to stay.
This place is nasty. They do not clean. I checked in and when me and my daughter were walking into the room, as soon as I opened the door she took a step back and said eww it stinks in there and didn't even want to go in. It smells so bad I'm going to have to check out and move somewhere else for the rest of the week. Don't book this place. They don't replace anything that's old and broken. It's summer time now and only one pool is open and the other is shut down. It seems like the place is heading towards bankruptcy or something, or that the owner does not care about anything. I be walked around the room in white socks for maybe 5 minutes and my socks turned black!!! Filthy. My daughter walked around in the room for just a couple minutes and her feet turned black on the bottoms. I'm disgusted.
