  We stayed here 6/25. 10/10 safety. We traveled as a family. Hotel staff 10/10 Highlights: Salt water pool. The water was pristine. I wish I would've taken a picture but we were in the moment. Lots of towels so we know there hadn't been too many folks there. Most people staying there were on business trip looks like. Rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable, the front desk was super helpful aswell. I stayed up doing laundry and they were accommodating when I asked for help with the computer and printer. Unfortunately they couldn't get the printer(s) to work. Anyways they were able to help me get on the computers so I could check my emails. Cons: carpet was damp like they had just cleaned it and a little smell ? Anyways...maybe just our room. This location is walking distance from 2 dining options and another hotel. Fyi there is a Wal-Mart close by that closes at 11pm. Its located 5min from the hotel on the other side of the bridge. Also just about everything else closes at the same time around there. We stopped here after driving close to 10 hours. It's conveniently off the freeway. Breakfast was also really good, they had everything hot and ready to go. When we finally tried to take off our battery died and the front desk attendant gave us a jump. We really appreciate that. Would I stay there again? Yes.

  Had some problems with the AC, but got it reset after 4 errors. The people there were great and the breakfast was wonderful.

  This hotel could be much better for an IHG. Do yourself a favor and book in Hurricane Mills instead. You will not be disappointed. That location is rated #1 Holiday Inn Express in the ENTIRE STATE!

  Unprofessional checkout experience for a Diamond Elite guest "I am a loyal Diamond Elite member who frequently utilizes Holiday Inn Express properties for my travel needs. While my actual stay was perfectly fine, my checkout experience] at 5:00 AM was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. As I was loading my personal belongings into my vehicle, the front desk agent repeatedly questioned whether the bag I was carrying contained hotel property. Even after I cheerfully clarified that it was my personal pillow and blanket, she doubled down and repeated the accusation multiple times, clearly implying theft. To clear my name, I walked back out to my vehicle and brought the items inside to prove they were mine. Instead of receiving an apology for the misunderstanding, the agent told me I was 'overreacting.' As a high-tier loyalty member who spends a significant amount of time in IHG hotels, being treated like a suspect at 5:00 AM—and then being blamed for the awkwardness it caused—is unacceptable customer service. I hope management addresses how staff handles guest interactions, as this was a very poor end to my stay
