  0/10 worst hotel I have ever stayed at honestly worse than a hostel I went to that was infested with bed bugs. First room we had was room 316. Toilet water was a solid block of ice in August, wish I took a picture, the AC was broken and leaking, the entire carpet was soaked and the fridge had flooded the tile in our entree way. Naturally we were like "Hey, lets tell the staff" assuming they would too be concerned with a flooded room. Wrong, the woman working the desk had an attitude and had to inspect our room (where we assumed afterwards she would switch us) and took 40 minutes to do so. After she came and saw that our room was flooded she told us there was nothing she could do since they were fully booked and left barely saying a word. I checked online and they were not even close to fully booked as there was at least 30 rooms I could book. I went back downstairs and and asked nicely to please be switched to one of the rooms available that I could book and was scoffed at. Well after having to wait another 10 minutes for the woman to help every single person that came AFTER me she finally gave me a new room and when I asked for her name since she was incredibly rude she quite literally ran away. Well now we go to our next room 211 hoping to finally be able to sleep, by the way it is now 11 our first complaint being at 9, and our floor is once again flooded and this time there is mold spores all around the trim. *Photos attached* Well I am pregnant and cannot sleep in a moldy room. So we go back downstairs and this time there is the original woman with a staff member being trained and the original woman talks around me to my friend and talks about me as if I'm stupid and an asshole. Honestly I regret having manors in the first place as I've never had to beg someone to please not let me (pregnant) sleep in a room with mold spores on the wall. Our third and final room has a dry carpet and no visible mold. Even though the bathrooms ceiling is falling apart with water damage I feel like I can sleep without fearing for my unborn daughter. Don't glance over reviews. This hotel is dangerous to stay in and will be reported the the health department come Monday. Edit: I got sick from the mold and had to go to the doctors

  Pros- The rooms were clean. The fruit infused water in the lobby was refreshing. Cons- The pool room is so gross. I looked and while it passed inspection it still made my skin crawl and was so smelly. The plants in there have mold and need to be thrown away. It needs a good bleach treatment to get rid of the mold and the water needs to be better drained on the floor. It was so hot I had to open a door. Which leads to me the fire alarm... Which went off twice during our stay, both times while we were in bed. I guess the pool room was so hot it set off the alarm? My husband wanted to leave after that happened on Friday but I thought it would be too hard to find a new place so we stayed. Mistake on my part since the alarm went off again Saturday night around 11 for the same reason. The alarm couldn't be shut off so we left that night and cut out one day of our family vacation. We got home about 1 in the morning exhausted. Fifth floor is so hot. No air conditioning in the hallway. If you book here ask to get another floor. Give it a few weeks before staying here to make sure they figure out the alarm and the heat in the pool room. It definitely wasn't a restful stay.

  The staff and management at this hotel are amazing. Everyone was welcoming, professional, and quick to help with anything I needed. You can tell the team truly cares about their guests. The hotel does have some maintenance issues that need attention. My room had an A/C leak and there was a noticeable odor, so the property could definitely benefit from some updates and repairs. Despite that, the team handled everything they could with a great attitude and excellent customer service. I appreciate all of their hard work and would stay again because of the outstanding staff.   I arrived about 10:30 or 11pm and was checked into a room with an AC that was not working. The attendant ask that I wait an hour to see if the AC would come back on. I'm already tired from my drive but ok. I'll be patient. The AC never came on. I went to the service desk and she had already left. The next attendant changed my room. I pack up and go to the another room the room smelled like mildew wet carpet, the bathroom wasn't cleaned well, and there was no remote for the television. I was to tired to even move again. I was at the front desk at 7am to speak to someone. When I mentioned the smell the young lady asked was it wet by the AC and I told her yes my socks were soak and wet. She stated the AC is still leaking. I also told them there was no remote and the bathroom wasn't The cleaned well. The gentleman attendant stated I would be refunded and need to to contact customer service for a nights stay. Contacted customer service 3 days later no refund received and couldn't authorize th free nights stay the hotel would have to authorize. Holiday Inn Express Chattanooga.....FAILED. My expectations were not met and this is unacceptable..........Update on Disasters at Holiday Inn Express Chattanooga Lookout Mtn....I was told by the manager at Holiday Inn Express Chattanooga Lookout Mtn on August 1st I would receive the refund in 24 hours. When I called on August 4th the desk attendant told me I would to HR for the refund. I asked if I needed to call the same number or was there a different number. He said call the same number and ask for HR. When I called back today and spoke with someone who said there name was Renek she said there was no HR on sight and the manager was not there. When I told her the issue I had with my stay...no AC in the 1st room, the 2nd room smelled and carpet was soak and wet, bathroom wasn't clean, and no remote for the television. She said she could offer 1,000 points but no refund or a free night's stay. I asked if the manager could call me back she then said the manager was in meeting. I reminder her she had just told me the manager wasn't there. I am disgusted with the service I have received at this location. 3 different people have lied to me. I told them I will not be taking my reviews off Google and will be adding additional information regarding the location. If you are in the Chattanooga, TN area and need a good night rest in a clean well respected hotel this isn't it. I have never had an experience like this.

  Our stay at this hotel was unacceptable from beginning to end. The property was clearly poorly maintained, and there seemed to be a complete lack of attention to basic upkeep, cleanliness, and guest safety. When we arrived, our TV remote was missing batteries, the body wash dispenser in the shower was completely empty, and the dispenser holder—which is supposed to be securely locked to the wall—was hanging loose. Even more concerning, the flip guard (security latch) on our room door was barely attached. All four screws were exposed, making it essentially useless. We reported this to the front desk within the first 30 minutes of our stay and were assured it would be fixed. It never was. The next morning at breakfast, after guests had been using the milk all morning, staff discovered that it was expired. Around 9:15 a.m., as breakfast was ending, employees were throwing cartons of expired milk into the trash while guests were finishing their meals. It was alarming to realize that expired milk had been available throughout breakfast service. That evening was even worse. We were awakened by the fire alarm and instructed to evacuate the building. After standing outside, we were told it was a false alarm and could return to our rooms. However, the alarm continued blaring at an incredibly loud volume for well over an hour. By the time it finally stopped and we were able to get back to sleep, it was after midnight. The disruption and poor handling of the situation made for an extremely unpleasant experience. Unfortunately, it wasn't just our room. My in-laws were staying in a separate room and experienced multiple maintenance issues as well, including broken blinds that would not open, a leaking shower, and a bathroom sink faucet that was loose and barely attached. This was, without question, the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. The number of maintenance failures, safety concerns, and lack of follow-through from staff is simply unacceptable. We will never stay at this property again, and based on this experience, we will seriously reconsider staying at any Holiday Inn in the future.
