  Great location. Easy to get to. Our room is super clean and everything works. I did overlook that there is no coffee in the rooms, which made me sad because I need coffee before I see people. Oh, and I chose it because it had an indoor pool, which is very nice and well maintained. However, neither of the kids would swim because the water was too cold.

  ⭐ 1-Star Review — Extremely Disappointing Experience I booked this Holiday Inn in Chattanooga during an emergency situation while traveling from Florida to Kentucky with my family and our pet. Google Maps listed this location as pet-friendly, which was a major factor in choosing it. I booked online, but the reservation process repeatedly redirected me to a third-party booking site. When I called the hotel directly for assistance, I was left on hold for more than 15 minutes. At that point, it was around 1 PM, and I was simply trying to secure a room for a few hours — essentially paying for a 4 PM check-in through 11 AM the following morning because we urgently needed somewhere to stop. I eventually spoke with Chris, who was understanding and told me he had sent the money back. Unfortunately, when I later spoke with the General Manager, Clarissa, I learned that the reservation had simply been canceled and the money had not actually been refunded. Because of the inaccurate information online and the lack of available pet-friendly accommodations in the area at that hour, we ultimately had no choice but to continue driving north. I contacted Clarissa the following Monday. She was initially very understanding and apologetic and told me she would do everything in her power to make the situation right. She explained that she had dealt with Priceline several times before and was familiar with their customer service and how difficult it could be to get money returned. She even offered to pay for a hotel the next time I was in the area. Unfortunately, none of that followed through. Priceline later apologized for the inconvenience and explained that they simply needed the hotel to verify that the money had been returned. I contacted Clarissa five times, had Mike from the office deliver three notes, and sent two emails following up. I received no response and no return call. What makes this particularly upsetting is that the General Manager initially seemed compassionate and willing to resolve the situation, only to completely stop communicating afterward. At this point, I am still out the money for a reservation that we could not use. I also noticed dirt and dead bugs around the breakfast area, which certainly did not improve my impression of the property. Mistakes happen, especially with third-party booking sites. What matters is how a hotel handles those mistakes. In this case, the lack of follow-through and complete lack of communication after multiple attempts to resolve the issue were extremely disappointing. I would strongly recommend that travelers verify directly with the hotel that rooms are actually pet-friendly and available before booking, particularly when using a third-party booking service. Based on my experience, I would not trust this property to resolve a problem after the fact.
