  Great if you need a place near the airport. Bethany, the night clerk, was more than helpful when we came in at 1am. Kudos to her.

  I will give the hotel the chance to make it right but for now am giving this review. My wife and I arrived on one of the last flights of the night. We got a ride over to the Candlewood Suites, and immediately upon checking in we’re informed the fridge in our room was inoperable, no biggie, but we noticed our room was VERY humid and smelled off. Assuming we are just not used to the humidity we brushed it off and went to grab some food. We returned to the hotel and then while my wife was using the restroom she noticed an excessive amount of black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Additionally the room was just overall dirty and worn down. Chipped paint, stains on the floor, sticky carpet, etc. We immediately packed up and went to the front desk. The gal at the front told us they were sold out and informed us we could stay in that room or find other accommodations. I asked if she could process a refund and she said she couldn’t until the morning when a manager comes in. No worries. Unfortunately, we were stuck paying 3x what we originally had at another hotel down the street on top of still not receiving our refund. This is a safety issue and extremely disappointing. My wife is immunocompromised and has health issues so staying in that room was not an option. Traveler be aware!

  Check your bill for a pet charge after you leave. We did not bring a pet and yet we had “pet manual charge” for $25 added. When I called to point this out they were rude and refused to give me a refund without checking their cameras to see if I was lying. Very disappointed as a Platinum Elite member that my word was worth nothing to them. When I pointed out to the manager that this felt kind of scammy, she scoffed and said “ma’am it’s $25 not $2500.” If it is her opinion that $25 is an inconsequential amount of money, why wouldn’t it be able to be refunded without having to go and check cameras??
