  We travel as a family of 21 people each June to Minnesota, stopping at Watertown for a night made of wonderful family memories. We all aim to make these memories at the same hotel for obvious reasons. Reservations were made through Booking.com for Holiday Inn Express with the promise of being able to cancel for a full refund, should the cancellation happen before a certain date. I called 2 days before the cancellation deadline to attempt cancelling, and Booking.com has made it hell on wheels to cancel the $247+ reservation BUT working with the manager(Greg) and front end host (Kris) has been a godsend and hope in humanity of serving others to the nth degree. These 2 people take time for you, they make it seem like you are the only one they are caring for in the moment and have sincere appreciation you called them and considered their hotel. In making your future bookings ALWAYS make certain you are calling the hotel's front desk and don't be fooled to make your reservations through Bookings.com or any related company. These 3rd party companies (usually based in 3rd world countries) makes significant commissions while the hotel takes a HUGE cut in what they make with each reservation booked through these companies.

  Booked a room for two nights in anticipation of a softball tournament. Reservation claimed 24 hours prior to stay could be modified or canceled. When I called to drop Friday from our reservation after we had the schedule, the rate for Saturday went from $179 to over $300. When I asked the front desk how that could possibly be, she said that’s just how things work sometimes. 😂 This will be the last time we stay with IHG, especially Watertown Holiday Inn. Country Inn owned by Choice hotels is a good/honest option in this market. Update: after posting this review, the manager reached out and notified me that he had adjusted the rate back to the original price.

  Was unfortunate the hottub was broken but every other aspect of our stay was wonderful. My compliments to the staff you do a great job.

  This was a wonderful place to stay on a two day business trip. Extremely clean rooms! Super friendly staff. This will be my new home base anytime I travel to Watertown
