Extra $25 just to arrive 2 hours early for check in on a day that didn’t look too busy at all. Also room wreaked of cigarette smoke. Not fresh at all!!

Easy checkin. Desk clerk (Tina) was very helpful. Note on ice machine said to not fill coolers from ice machine and that complimentary bags of ice were available at the desk. I was thrilled to get a 5# bag of ice at check out for my cooler! The hotel is very dated, but clean and well maintained. It’s a little complicated to figure out the layout at first, but after I took a walk around the property, it’s was easy enough to find the pools, etc. in for NOT receive a room upgrade for my platinum status, but the room was large and the walk in shower was wonderful.

This is one of the dirtiest hotels I have stayed in. The refrigerator was gross. There were whole Cheetos on the floor like no one attempted to vacuum. The carpet has several sticky spots, I don’t even what to guess what that was. Overall gross.

Where to start… this was my second time staying at this location and the pool area was the reason. To start, there was an abundance of parking for our Sunday night stay. We checked in and the front desk staff were welcoming and professional. I asked about a trolley for our luggage and they informed me that they must be in use. We took several trips going from the car to the room for the three of us and our dog to bring our things to our room. The room was an average Best Western room, double queen. There were signs of age, dated carpet, peeling wallpaper, and low water pressure; yet the room was clean and did not smell bad. The pool area was the big draw for our family so my 12 year old son could burn off some energy after a long trip. It was very enjoyable. Breakfast was sufficient: eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, and assorted cereal items with a yogurt option and coffee. Access to the freeway was simple, no fighting stoplight traffic or down town traffic. My takeaways are: The Hotel is large, like a maze at first. Trying to find the pool is fine, but I went the wrong way going to get Towels from the front desk. Amazing pool for kids, basic accommodations, sufficient breakfast, professional staff, and quick access from the freeway. I would stay again.

Enjoyed our one night stay. We stayed here on our way back to Kansas City from Hill City, traveling with our 3 year old and 5 year old. We selected this hotel for the indoor pool/water park and had a great time. Our room was fine, perhaps a bit dated but still comfortable and clean. Breakfast was great, the dining area was spacious and had lots of options for food. The indoor waterpark/pool was great, the kids loved it. It was clean and well maintained. There was a shallow area with several slides and features that our 3 year old loved, and our 5 year old had a blast going down the big slide and the other slides. This hotel is family friendly. Lots of people were here with young kids so we didn't feel stressed when our kids cried or made noise because so many others were doing the same. I suppose it might be annoying to people traveling without kids. I've seen some negative reviews complaining about the noise and amount of kids...but c'mon, the place has a freakin water park inside, expecting it to be quite is unreasonable. Of course you're going to hear kids and noise at a place with an indoor waterpark, adjust your expectations or stay somewhere else.
