Got a room to throw a birthday party for my kids. Staff interactions I had were good. Now the pool caused numerous chemical burns on multiple children that were swimming in it. My 3yr old got the worst of it out of my children he was screaming in pain. Ran the bathtub to try and rinse the chlorine off of my children and the bath started filling up before I even plugged the drain. Then it didn’t want to drain worth a damn so we had to pack everything up and go home early because nobody else could rinse off. My friends daughters swimsuit looked like she jumped into a pool of bleach. Get your chemicals fixed when this pool is generated towards the children our babies should not be getting chemical burns!!!!! The girls said something to the front desk and their only response was it happens! Like what!!!??? Kids did have fun but what a waste of money to have to deal with chemical burns! From talking to other people I know this is a long running problem! Disappointed in my own towns hotel what a disgrace to Aberdeen! Want a good hotel pool go to holiday inn express skip this place!

The rooms were nice but the hallway smelled like Marijuana. At night there were kids running up and down the hall screaming and we had young children trying to sleep. When reported to the front desk, they said there was nothing they could do. We had four rooms booked and we will not be back.
To put it in the words of our 8 year-old: “That place was super sketchy!” We are generally a pretty laid-back crew when we travel as a family, but this hotel was a MESS. Upon opening the door to our first room (#101), we were smacked in the face with the smell of cigarettes. We have a kiddo with asthma, so staying put was a non-starter. The front desk was apologetic and moved us to the opposite side of this maze. Unfortunately, the other side of the hotel must be the weed smoking section. We had to shove towels under the large gap at the bottom of the door to keep the smell/smoke from giving our kids a contact high. For the sake of brevity, additional concerns in no particular order were: room was directly next to an interior fire door that slammed all night, loud music playing in the courtyard until at least midnight, our room fan and A/C rattled and smelled like burning tires, the ceiling and lamp had cobwebs and the shower had mystery short/curly hairs stuck to its walls. For $200/night, we expect more. Checked-out as soon as we woke up. We would NEVER EVER voluntarily stay here again. 0 out of 10, would NOT recommend.

This hotel was gross the garbage in our room and fridge were disgusting and full the chair was ripped up and did not even look wiped down not to mention the door handle did not work properly
Best Western Ramkota Hotel offers a comfortable stay with spacious rooms, indoor water park, and convenient location near local attractions. Staff is generally friendly, and amenities are good for families. Some areas feel dated, but overall it’s a solid option for short and relaxing stays
