  Room had a strong odor like sewage or mold. Service checked it out and says no issue. that was part of the problem not having a clue what was wrong. They had a dehumidifier running when I got there. they were aware of something was wrong no doubt. terrible.

  I had a two day stay there and it was nothing but problems from the start. I contacted the front desk and let them know. I had no Internet service they sent maintenance around and he reset the TV and told me that my TV channels were working. I couldn't connect my work laptop nor could my daughter connect her school laptop. I couldn’t connect to the TV and get any apps no Hulu no Netflix nothing I called several times about the issue and nothing was resolved, but they told me that I would get a refund and I would even get reward benefits for my stay but when it was time for me to check out, I was met with the manager that was very hostile. Told me that it was nothing he can do because I completed my stay and I could have went over to the red roof in at any time I did explain to him that I booked this hotel because it was closest to the funeral that I was attending. I lost my uncle. I had a 7 Hour drive And I was tired the miscommunication like I told him as if we were playing telephone because one person would tell me one thing then another person told me another thing but then when the manager got there, everybody got amnesia like I didn’t have problems like I didn’t call the front desk several times about any issues that I had Luckily, I took pictures. I’ll place them down below. The TV didn’t work as you can see I didn’t have any Internet service and he said the manager that the Internet was working fine as you can see down below there was no Internet service

  RUDE AND RACIST!!! Do NOT waste your money. I was traveling to South Carolina because I had to attend a funeral. Best Western was the closest and more convenient hotel to the funeral location. During my stay I experienced a poorly kept room with cracked walls, unclean sheets and pillows, as well as unclean appliances like the refrigerator and microwave. To add onto the already not so great experience, the internet was AWFUL!! I had to call the front office about 4 times. The so called “Technical manager’ came in and “fixed” it. The man only un-plugged and plugged back in the tv! Only 5 stations were available. The pre-installed apps did not work because of the poor connection. The second time the tv turned GREEN which the man continued to come in and only reset the tv. The cherry on top was when I went to check out. At first the people at the front desk (an elderly man and middle aged woman) were saying they were terribly sorry and would refund my 140$. When the manager came in however all of their personalities switched up. He offered to give me only a 20% refund being that I stayed the whole booking of the rooms to which I refused because that simply isn’t enough. The internet was so poor that I (as a virtual student and worker) missed days of schools and work. The manager then continued to say “Well you could’ve left! The Red Roof Inn is right across the street.” As a manger why are you telling one of your customers to go somewhere else? He was EXTREMELY RUDE and I could feel the racist tension. Being a person of color I was already uncomfortable in the setting and he made it worse. I will NEVER be staying there again I honestly hope they get better people and management for the hotel.

  Our family really loves the Best Western chain, and when we travel, we usually look for Best Western hotels first. We stayed at the Best Western of Walterboro during our road trip, and overall, we had a good experience. The hotel has been renovated, and our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. When we first entered our room, we noticed that the cover on the AC unit was broken, so we asked the front desk if we could change rooms. The lady at reception was very nice and helpful and changed our room immediately without any hassle. We really appreciated how quickly she handled it. We also enjoyed the breakfast, there was a good selection and it was a nice way to start the morning. 😊
