  I will say out of all the places I usually stay, this place had the most comfortable beds and pillows. It's kind of old inside and my room had a smell. The dryer was broken so that was n inconvenience. It's not that bad but for the area it could have been a little bit better.

  The rooms are clean and comfortable. The property was clean as well. Nothing extravagant but worth the price. The shining star of our stay though was Ms. Cynthia who runs the breakfast area. The entire staff was great but Ms. Cynthia truly cares about people and that shows. She welcomed us to breakfast, made sure we had everything we could need, and we had lovely conversations with her. It really felt like we were having a meal at our family's home! Just an amazing person and great employee. Anytime we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again. A great staff is worth it's weight in gold and Best Western Pawleys Island definitely has a great staff!

  The hotel itself was a pleasant surprise. The room was spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The only thing that felt a little out of place was the bathtub, it looked more like something you'd find in a residential bathroom than in a hotel. Unfortunately, my check-in experience wasn't great. The older white woman working the front desk that evening came across as condescending and rude, which wasn't the best first impression. On the other hand, the woman working the front desk the following morning was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and she made up for the poor experience the night before. Breakfast was just okay. There were several empty spots where food should have been, but nothing was replenished, and the coffee was cold. Overall, despite the issues with the night clerk and the disappointing breakfast, I would stay here again because the rooms were comfortable and well kept. Next time, though, I'll make sure to check in before the night clerk arrives.

  The room was clean, the staff was very friendly, and the price was right. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because there is not a restaurant or pub within walking distance. There's a breakfast place and Huntington State Beach is about 3 miles down the road. The beach is great, plenty of parking.
