Staying at a resort, they really should atleast offer continental breakfast, the rooms are outdated & small, the balcony doors are terrible to open/close. The fire pits didn't work 3 out of the 4 nights we were there. The security officer said she was going g to call them to come down & check it out but no one showed up & we were there for 2 hrs. They're selling time shares but I would not want to stay in a place like that for all the mo ey they charge!
The hotel is older. Room had two beds but outlets only in middle, not convenient. Toilet paper holder was loose, floor was sandy, expected if we had gone down to beach but this was on arrival. Shower had soap residue in the holder. No ventilation in bathroom so entire room felt more humid. Staff at desk nice. Avoid timeshare presentation, never felt more insulted than I did after enduring the sales rep belittling me and holding an hour past presentation time.
My family and I stayed here for a week. We have been with Westgate since 2014. We’ve visited almost all the US locations. This one beachfront is perfect view towards the ocean. Only thing we noticed is; the pools are a lot smaller and there’s no water park like other locations. But, overall, It was still a great place to stay. Clean and spacious rooms.
Our concierge John Burns was extraordinary! Such a nice gentleman. He made our experience smooth and got us everything we needed. We will definitely be coming back once they add the new pool and changes to the resort.

My husband and I supposedly went for a romantic vacation but it turned into a business trip because we didn't realize that Westgate is a TIMESHARE HOTEL!!! If you are not familiar with what that is, do your research and BEWARE!! Their mission is to sell you a dream that you are part owner of the hotel and that you are investing in future vacations by making a long-term investment (buying a package that could range from $10K to $15K maybe more! TIMESHARE IS AN "IN YOUR FACE SCAM!" (Just to put it bluntly!)
We were told over the phone before we arrived that we would be obligated to attend a 90 minute presentation to learn more about the resort or incur a $500 fee. And we could make a decision after that about whether we wanted to move forward or not... Well, that presentation meeting turned into 7 and 1/2 hours!! No joke!! Please hear this! 7 and 1/2 hours: From 2pm--9:30pm my husband and I experienced the most extensive, drawn out attempts by tour guides and staff to push us to make an impulsive decision to "invest" in a package to become part owner of the resort! Besides, any monies that we've been spending on hotel stays in the past are merely a waste, when you could be using that money to build towards future vacations you intend to make (and deserve) for your family and yourselves!
They will show you beautiful condos, elegantly decorated and convince you that YOU can own one of them!! I immediately thought about my family! I was enamored and taken aback about the idea that it could really be ours to enjoy as a family and since I will be the owner, my family and I could come up and vaca when we got ready! Well, that's not nearly how it works, but they are trying to get you as close to what it is that you're trying to do in order to SELL YOU THIS DREAM!! The condos are really beautiful, but they will NOT be yours! That's the part you have to be aware of! Make sure you ask lots of questions!
DO NOT MAKE ANY SUDDEN IMPULSIVE DECISIONS because ultimately you are NOT investing, neither becoming "part-owner" of the hotel.. YOU ARE HELPING WESTGATE GET RICH AND BUILD A BIGGER HOTEL. You only get 2 weeks per year to take your vacations and you must PAY an annual maintenance fee that's over $1,000 for upkeep that YOU didn't even contribute to! There are a lot of vacations that I can take with $1,000 alone! so why should I invest that in maintenance on a hotel that I'm only going to see for a total of two weeks each year?!?!
Our Tour Guide, Simone, was nice, but her primary goal was to get us to invest in many things that she told us that were NOT TRUE. While she explained that Westgate had zero lawsuits against them, we had already researched and located MANY lawsuits against Westgate; people who have hired Attorneys to get them out of this hot mess! People who have made impulsive decisions who later realize that what they've so called "invested in" is nothing but a scam to get you to buy into something they say is yours but really, IT IS NOT!! Ask yourself logical questions while they are standing over you, mildly pressuring you to make a decision you reeeeeaaallly aren't planning to make!
My husband and I got to the signing table and almost fell for it but praise God, after a few more loopholes were revealed, the Holy Spirit kept us from being deceived. Thank you, Jesus!
Buy it, and get Buyers Remorse, or use logic, trust Christ, and get out of it! Make the smart choice...

I was not impressed by this hotel and even less impressed with the timeshare.
BTW - the lap pool has a beach entrance which no lap pool should have.
We got discounted room rate because of a so called 90-minute timeshare presentation. Be aware our presentation lasted over 3 HOURS!!!
It started with a very pleasant young lady offering food but we were not informed and had just eaten so instead of skipping this part, the young lady ate in front of us for over 30 minutes. We were supposed to start at 9:30, but did not start until 10:10 because she “had to eat”. She was pleasant but very long winded explaining way more than necessary. By the time we saw an actual unit we were so tired and it was almost 11 am. We said it is almost 90 minutes but she was not deterred and just kept talking.
Even if we were not tired, we did not like the setup of the unit. 4 bedrooms rooms with 3 kitchens!!! Balconies were skinny.
We went back to the table area after another 30 minutes and we still had not heard a price. BTW, the price for one week was 100k plus a monthly maintenance fee of $1500-$2000 (we never got an exact number).
Even if the pools were amazing and the rest of the place was amazing, that price is WAY TOO HIGH for one week!!!
As far as the hotel. AC did not cool the room enough and was WAY too loud. Shower water pressure was okay. The bed was comfortable but no daily service during a three night stay.
The people at the front desk were very nice and friendly.
I do not recommend.
