I’m on the road a lot and most hotels know my name. As a silver star with IGH, I’ve stayed in several Staybridge suites. Unfortunately, my stay at this particular Staybridge was average. I would encourage an immediate renovation of all area especially the rooms included doors. Our keys never worked continuously being rekeyed. We were told if we placed it near our phone it gets deactivated however, the clerk came with me so that I could show her that it’s the door not the keys. Bathroom shower barely produced water while dripping continuously. Beds were truly uncomfortable. Housecleaning had to be requested after a few days. Some positive notes, the pool, basketball court and patio area was great for family. The location was quiet and great for traveling to awesome shows, entertainment and activities just need a vehicle. We stayed 7 days so I would recommend this place for short stays only.

Edit 6 Jul 26: I made contact with the manager regarding the errantly charged pet fee, and she was super helpful and willing to hear me out and I was promptly refunded. I appreciated the conversation and will definitely consider staying here again!
Had a great stay in a nice clean room and woke up to a very nice breakfast every morning. The stay was awesome, and the hotel staff were very friendly.
However about a day after check out I was charged a pet fee, even though I left all my pets at home. So far I've been trying to get someone to explain why I was charged this fee for a week now, and most recently that I would be emailed a picture of 'my pet' but have yet to receive it. I am dissatisfied with this level of communication (or lack thereof), but will update this review if/when this gets resolved.

I’ve been a loyal IHG Rewards member for years, and this was unfortunately my first negative experience. I visited Myrtle Beach for Father’s Day to spend time with family and relatives, and what should have been a simple request turned into an unnecessary issue.
When I went to the front desk to ask for an extra set of towels, one staff member gave me a hard time and refused to assist me. A short time later, I returned and spoke with a different staff member who provided the towels without any problem. At that point, the employee who had initially denied my request suddenly began making excuses for why I couldn’t receive them.
What made the situation even more frustrating was that my room key worked perfectly fine before this interaction. However, after I went back downstairs regarding the towel issue and returned to my room, my key suddenly stopped working properly. While that may have been a coincidence, the timing certainly raised concerns.
As a loyal rewards member, I expect to be treated with professionalism and respect. Guests should not have to deal with inconsistent service or feel uncomfortable simply asking for basic accommodations. I hope management reviews this situation and provides additional training to ensure future guests and IHG Rewards members receive the level of service they deserve.

My husband and I stayed there overnight on Sunday, June 14, 2026 for the first time, and we departed on the following day. This was a very nice surprise and well worth the wait time to check in at 4pm. Not only is this hotel located in a great area (off the road and away from traffic), the receptionist and/or hostess on duty at the time delivered superb service(very pleasant, approachable, knowledgeable, and professional), and the dining area was roomy and welcoming as well. I appreciated the sign that was posted near the buffet area (where breakfast is served) that informed dog owners not to have their animals in this area. Moreover, the best part of our stay was the immaculate and spacious room. I was in awe of the kitchen area, it was set-up with a stove, a dish washer, a microwave, and full refrigerator. The room was also furnished with an office desk, a sleeper sofa, plenty of lighting, 2 TVs, one king-size bed, a large bathroom, one blow dryer, a iron, ironing board, and a laundry basket to carry your wash in. We were served a hot breakfast before checking out. The only suggestion that I have is to offer an alternative to your pork sausage because everyone does not eat pork. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and Lord willing, we hope to return again! Please keep up the excellent customer service!
