Our room smelled HORRIBLE from the moment we walked in—like a dead animal. The AC didn’t cool the room. Getting help from the front desk was nearly impossible, and when I finally did, I was told nothing could be done for days, because it was a holiday weekend. I reported the smell and was told the room had been deep cleaned, but the smell never changed. We were never offered another room or any meaningful solution. The customer service was disappointing, and the excuses were even worse. The guest checking out before me also complained about a horrible smell in her room, so this clearly wasn’t an isolated problem. We were staying here for a sports tournament, and this experience put a huge damper on our weekend. The location is great, but that doesn’t make up for disgusting-smelling rooms, a room that wouldn’t cool down, and poor customer service. As I was leaving for a game I spoke with Michael briefly, but I really hope he takes these reviews and works to make this place better. IHG needs to take a serious look at this property. If you’re considering booking here, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
