  Handicap room had towels above the toilet, but everything else was made for someone in a chair. Which was perfect for my handicap parent. My room, was ok. The bed was lumpy, but the room was clean.

  Honestly, just keep driving. What a disappointment. We have traveled extensively and stayed in many Holiday Inn Express locations. It has become our go to, value, quality, reliable. This one breaks the mold. We arrived late, very much road-weary. Upon entering our room. We were immediately aware of how unkept it was, visible stains on the wall, mildew in the shower, dirt in the corners of the room, and staining by the refrigerator. If this was the level of attention paid to the visible areas, how much attention is being paid to the unseen areas. Breakfast was certainly the star here, but after the room, the bar was low.

  We were really excited about our trip to the area. Prior to arrival, we received a welcome text message from the front desk. PERFECT! We checked in to a Happy Birthday message written on the key card. FELT SPECIAL! Unloaded the car and got on the elevator and instantly heard a loud noise indicating that the elevator needed servicing. CONCERNED! Arrived to the 3rd and thought we had walked into an OVEN. HMMM! We made it to room 300. The room was not as pictured for this location online. The fixtures were dated, the carpet was stained, and there were visible signs of touch-up paint on the walls. It gets better because maintenance knocked on the door and informed us that we called about our door not locking - which we did not call. He went on to try and it but informed us that we must use the latch lock at the top of the door. The front desk calls to apologize for placing us in a room with the broken deadbolt lock. We thought no problem…we can deal with that. The next morning as we were preparing for church, a random guest pushed our door and proceeded to tell us that our door was unlocked. Thankfully, we had the latch lock on and they were not able to enter. Someone had to have a key because the door was locked. I immediately went to the front desk and asked for our room keys to be re-keyed - only to be told that the key machine broke down the night before around 9PM and all they had was a master key AND they were calling the maintenance man into work and demand that our door was fixed. I was assured that no one had a key to our room and it must’ve been some mistake. We were offered a new room, but they couldn’t give us a key. We were promised a solution once we arrived back to the property after our church service only to be told if the person who told us that was gone for the day. There are a few other situations that I could address - regarding housekeeping but I think you all will get the picture.🤦🏾‍♀️ Needless to say that I left property HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED!! I high would NOT RECOMMEND!!

  Elevator sounded like it was gonna break. Hallway in upper floors VERY HOT. Door to room did not lock- could only use flipper latch to secure door. And NO GUIDE for TV. Breakfast was good. Very leary of location. Did not feel safe going to car after dark. Staff was very friendly.

  Easy on/off. Clean, friendly staff, incredibly convenient 95 south or north.
