- MJMichael Johnson3 days ago5.0We have driven through Georgetown, but never stayed. We are soooo impressed. The hotel is well maintained and staff is super friendly and thoughtful. You have to eat at the Independant crazy good. Our server tracked us down after dinner on the back patio just to give us homemade cookie treats!! Seriously, we will skip Charleston to stay here. Its a wonderful place to stay if your vibe is a lot of fun, but still a little low key. Thank you to everyone at The George.

Ryan was extremely accommodating with some changes we requested upon our arrival, and the staff at Eliza's and The Independent were as warm and kind as the food and drink was delicious. Can't wait to return. Thanks!

- MBMichelle BalbatAug 5, 20265.0We stayed one night here and merely mentioned them booking that we were celebrating our 25th anniversary trip and we arrived in our beautiful, clean, and well appointed room to find a lovely note and bottle of champagne and my favorite Saratoga water bottles. The George was in a great location on the water with a lovely little lawn and bar out front and dinner at The Independent hotel restaurant was delicious with great service. We loved the service, the decor and the little details that made our special night a memorable experience. Wish we would have stayed longer!

A huge thank you to General Manager Drue Ford for the personal attention. He truly made our stay special! Bacari and Abhi were both fantastic and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Dinner at The Independent was also a highlight. The food was outstanding, and Christina took such great care of us. She was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. We can’t wait to come back and highly recommend The George Hotel!
