  Amazing hotel with amazing personnel! This was our first time staying here, and we're already planning our next visit! The restaurant has wonderful food and drinks, and the outdoor bar is a great feature (say hi to Brock while you're there...he makes a fantastic espresso martini!). Coffee, muffins and fruit are available each morning in the lobby, along with fruit infused ice water. Front desk associates Ryan and Abhi made our stay extra special with their friendly greetings each day. This hotel is an amazing asset to downtown Georgetown!

  The hotel and rooms are top notch. The employees were friendly and helpful. The outside bar space was really nice and the bartenders were very friendly. The Independent restaurant staff, service and food quality were top notch. Our stay was only two days but we’ll be back. There are so many options of things to do and places to eat in Georgetown we really want to make it one of the places we want to continue to visit.

  Booked room directly and received a great rate. (More about that in a minute) Upon arrival my wife and I were greeted by our hosts warmly. The room was beautiful and tastefully decorated. We had a great view of the bay ( see below) and realized Abni, our host, had upgraded our stay at no extra charge. Beds are incredibly comfortable and spacious. Bathroom and showers quite large with all of the accompanying toiletries. The location is situated right on Highmarket and within walking distance of shops, parks, and beautiful antebellum homes adorned with live oaks. Wonderful stay! Highly recommended.

  It was a beautiful hotel. But they are lacking in amenities for example, there was nowhere to put makeup on the lighting was horrible in the bathroom. I literally had to standby the window with a mirror. Luckily, I brought a mirror. They had a steamer instead of an ironing board. No pen and paper. No clock. I didn’t want to have to check my phone every time I wanted to see what time it was but all in all a beautiful hotel clean and staff was great the restaurant we ate in was also great.

  We had a great stay at the George with impeccable check in service, wonderful meal at the bar with an exceptional bartender Brock who not only made suggestions with the menu, but fun conversation! We topped off the night at the outdoor bar with Shawn, another friendly and accommodating bartender who made it possible to watch our hometown football game in the comfort of the outdoor setting. The room was comfortable and spacious. We look forward to another stay soon.
