  Had a wonderful experience for our first time at the George hotel! We were traveling with our two young kids, two and four, and the hotel made us feel very welcome. We requested an extra turn down service and it was immediately taken care of. When we came back to our room that evening, the staff had left a little bag of chocolates and a toy for one of our boys with his name on the bag. They clearly must’ve just heard us call his name because we never provided it in the reservation form. So clearly the staff here is really about listening to their customers and delighting them. And we were definitely delighted by this touch! I personally also really enjoyed the interior design of the hotel as well as the open green spaces and bar that overlooks the marina. The hotel also smelled so nice and luxurious. Again, highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Georgetown!

  I love this hotel. It's Conveniently located. The service is fantastic, and the bar is wonderful.

  One of the best experiences ever! Loved Eliza’s and the whole crew. Didn’t get the young man’s name who served us our first day , but he was very congenial. Emily was very interesting to chat with and as a result made us a crossword puzzle and had it on our table at dinner at The Independent. Frankie was so fun and took good care of us. Our dinner at The Independent was perfect from the food to the service. Natasha treated us to the tempura quail which was to die for and prosecco for a toast for our 43 anniversary. Will be back soon. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. Just got Abhi’s name but young lady on arrival was too. Strom and Beverly Johnston

  I have been to the George Hotel twice now and both times have been a hit. Last time I went with my daughter, friend and her daughter. The rooms are beautiful and the whole hotel is beautifully designed. The restaurant is delicious too. We were checked in by Brian and Tatiana and they were fabulous. They heard we were celebrating my friends birthday and sent sparkling wine to the room. Natasha in the restaurant also took good care of us. We had so much fun that I booked my next stay while there.Ba’Kari at the front desk was also great too! Highly recommend!

  Stayed at The George on a Monday in June for my wife's birthday. Ate dinner at the hotel restaurant The Independent. If I could rate "6 stars" I would, but alas there are only 5. From the pre check-in notifications to checkout the staff was world class excellent. The restaurant staff, food and attention to detail (including special birthday gifts for my wife) was spot on and very thoughtful. Food was perfect. Flounder and crab cakes. Highly recommend devils egg oyster appetizer The room (323) is absolutely the best (only room we've had that compares recently was the top floor river facing room at the JW Marriott in Savannah) Felt safe and content, at the hotel and in town. We will be back!
