  Please be advised, Always CHECK for bed bugs. I dont like leaving reviews like this because it puts the hotel in a bad eye for future customers. I checked into my room the front desk was very nice and helpful. I got to my room and checked for bed bugs like I always do. I took a nap and woke up to find one right by the bottom of my bed. I got dressed and packed my things up and asked for another room, which they did no questions asked. Super awesome front desk attendants. I usually travel alone for work and never want to bring those pesky, little things home to my wife and family. 5 stars for the service! 2 stars for the room because it had bed bugs.

  If I could give this Hotel and the room a rating it would be 10 plus! This was the cleanest and most comfortable room. I would recommend staying here and I myself would definitely stay here again which I did. We stayed here, went on a little road trip to Virginia and then came back and stayed here again on our way back to Florida because it was so clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast is perfect, staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything was excellent!

  Great Stop Off I-95, We'll Be Back! From check-in to check-out, this hotel got everything right. The woman at the front desk was warm and welcoming, and for the first time in all our travels, we received our complimentary room upgrade without even having to ask. It was a small gesture that set the tone for the whole stay. The room was spotless and quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had great pressure and temperature. But the real standout was breakfast. The selection was the standard Holiday Inn Express lineup, but the execution was on another level, with hot, buttery biscuits and bacon cooked perfectly. Easily one of the best-tasting breakfast bars we've had anywhere. This was just a quick overnight on our way to Florida, but this location earned a permanent spot on our list. If you're traveling I-95 through South Carolina, this one is worth the stop.

  I am extremely disappointed with my experience with IHG Hotels & Resorts and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florence I-95 & I-20 Civic Center. My family of four made our reservation over a month before our July 10 stay and received a confirmation number. After traveling late into the night, we arrived at approximately 11:30 p.m. only to be told that our reservation had been canceled. I never received a cancellation email or any notification that there was an issue with my booking. To make matters worse, the hotel had no rooms available. The hotel staff offered no real assistance in finding a solution. The only response we received was, "Sorry." After a long day of travel with my family, that was incredibly frustrating and unacceptable. I then called IHG customer service. They could not tell me who canceled my reservation or why it had been canceled. They also offered no meaningful resolution. When I asked to speak with a manager, the representative hung up on me. That level of customer service is completely unacceptable. Thankfully, I went down the road to a Hilton, where they matched the rate because I am a Hilton Honors member. Their staff apologized for the experience I had just gone through and got my family into a room quickly. The difference in customer service was night and day. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend booking through IHG Hotels & Resorts or staying at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Florence I-95 & I-20 Civic Center. A confirmed reservation should mean something, and when a company makes a mistake, customers deserve an explanation and a genuine effort to make it right. Unfortunately, I received neither.

  We stayed here for one night during a road trip, and it was exactly what we needed. This is a simple, no-frills hotel that's perfect for a good night's sleep and a hot shower before getting back on the road. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, check-in was quick, and everything worked as expected. The staff was friendly, and the overall experience was smooth and hassle-free. If you're looking for a luxury hotel, this isn't it. But if you want excellent value for money and a comfortable place to recharge for the night, it's hard to ask for more.
