Amber, the lady at the front desk was a warm and wonderful host as we passed through the lobby for the 3 days. I had booked reservations at a hotel nearby for a similar price (the meeting inn, terrible hotel) and felt very fortunate the Nickel had a balcony room for us looking out over the courtyard for the dates I needed. If you’re looking for a getaway in Charleston, this is the place to stay. Warm staff, wonderful accommodations, gorgeous rooms, and a human touch to show they care about your experience.

Beautiful rooms, great attention to detail (love the steamer and the hamper), amazing service, fresh ground coffee in the room, morning coffee and tea at the courtyard on the 2nd floor and a rooftop bar with stunning views. All of the staff is excellent and a special call out to Amber, who makes it feel like I'm coming home after a busy day in the office - she's the best! Absolutely one of the nicest places to stay in Charleston.

I needed to leave a special note for Loraine at the rooftop bar. She had a wonderful attitude despite the crazy and packed night. She was working hard with a smile on her face.
