- BMBrian Murphy1 day ago4.0My wife and I recently spent a night at the Holiday Inn Express in Charleston and were very pleased with our stay. We booked a king suite, which was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. When we checked in, the night clerk was very apologetic because our room was located on the third floor between the elevator and the ice machine. Fortunately, it turned out not to be an issue. We hardly noticed any noise from the elevator, and there was only a small amount of traffic at the ice machine in the morning. The complimentary breakfast was average, but unfortunately the coffee machines were malfunctioning, so no coffee was available during breakfast. On a positive note, the staff accommodated our request for a late checkout, giving us an extra half hour, which we appreciated. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would consider staying here again.
