  DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. We stopped here after driving for almost two full days because we desperately needed a good night’s sleep before finishing our trip to Florida. Instead, it turned into a complete nightmare. The room smelled like a dog and cat bathroom. The carpet was filthy and clearly held years of pet odors. To make matters worse, the security latch on the room door was broken and would not lock, making us feel unsafe. One of the elevators was out of service, and because the fire alarm went off three times during the night due to what the staff admitted was a malfunction, every guest had to evacuate the building and wait outside for the fire department. The stairwells even had dog feces on them, which was disgusting. After the third false alarm, and without having slept even a single minute, we gave up and continued our trip at 4:30 a.m., completely exhausted. The front desk apologized and assured us that we would not be charged because of everything that had happened. However, they still charged my credit card $180. They later refunded only the $50 temporary authorization (hold), but they have not refunded the room charge as they promised. We have requested a full refund, but so far, nothing. At this point, I seriously doubt they intend to honor their word. This hotel is dirty, poorly maintained, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. Save yourself the frustration and stay somewhere else. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

  While looking for a place to stay near Hilton Head with my larger dogs, I found this hotel and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and spacious, and they accommodated my dogs (60–80 lbs) with no issues.They were even able to get us into our room before the standard 4 PM check-in time. The hotel also offers free laundry, a small pool, an outdoor grilling area, and a gym, which were all great amenities to have during our stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

  Everything was perfect. Super friendly staff, super clean rooms. Free laundry and coffee and workouts and pool and grill area. Super cool about dogs. Affordable price. Cannot get better than this place

  Front desk staff was excellent, but I would never stay here again. I actually felt sorry they were there. It smelled like mariajuana everywhere, a washer caught on fire during my stay, and the type of people staying there were???. Although my room seemed clean enough, it was freezing . The pet waste outside was terrible & never cleaned up. There is no lobby & carpet needs cleaned. The location is right next to SSHH, so visitors who know people there, should stay somewhere else. I don't think it's legal to smoke Marijuana in SC, so police should probably monitor drug activity there.

  Staff are helpful and the rooms are clean. If you are sensitive to mold and musk, avoid this place. There is no air circulation besides the AC unit. It is so humid in the rooms, mine had a stench and I felt like throwing up at nights. The staff mentioned that some rooms where worse then others. I would suggest to step in to the room before renting it. Smell the air and smell the air coming from the AC unit. It's built on a lagoon of some sort and I am sure because of safety regulations of no opening windows it's contaminated with mold.
