  The breakfast here is truly gourmet. The chef clearly knows food. It can be served in a gorgous courtyard with mature wisteria. The staff are great, friendly and helpful. I especially liked the woman in charge of the breakfast, who worked hard to make sure everyone was happy. The rooms are small, as expected in a converted antique house. The linens were high quality. The only thing lacking was the TV service. only basic cable, and no access to Netflix etc like most hotels are now offering. location is great and it is suprizing quiet given that it is in the tourist district.

  Stayed here for 1 night and had an amazing time! The hospitality, food, rooms, and location were perfect. Wish we could’ve stayed longer! We will definitely be coming back.

  This was an absolute dream stay. The room was huge, clean, and comfortable, while the inn itself was cozy and classic. Plus, it’s located in the heart of of downtown Newport. The daily breakfast and afternoon tea were both delicious. Highly recommend staying here!

  Wow! The historic Francis Malbone House exceeded all expectations! The inn has coastal and historic charm from the grand staircase in the entry way, rich history, oil paintings, and carefully curated decor, not to mention the outdoor courtyard—it’s dreamy! Perfect for the in house breakfast created by their chef and the afternoon tea time. Each meal was flavorful and fresh. Breakfast boasts two main options to choose from, fresh fruit, parfait bar, and warm coffee and tea or juice. Afternoon tea comes with tea and coffee options with delicate puff pastries and sweet treats. The rooms are cozy and quaint and made complete with a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, fresh linens, closet space, and other storage options. The inn keepers made us feel at home and were happy to lend a hand or offer suggests as requested. Sue was very hospitable and was a delight to be greeted by at morning breakfast and she even was kind enough to help me button my dress for an evening out. The location is everything you could want as it’s located right on Thames and makes walking around Newport simple. Can’t wait for our next stay!
