- BGBreckinridge Goldens5 days ago1.0This hotel looks old from the outside remodeled inside- not as nice as marriotts or Hiltons typically are. Worst thing is it smells awful. If you are sensitive to fragrances and smells don’t stay here. They have spray aromatics spraying constantly in the hallways. My husband went in to check I’m and came out smelling like it. Instant headache. What smells are they trying to cover up with this spray. It’s awful and for that reason alone I do not recommend staying here. Rooms are pretty standard. Again an older hotel that smells awful like a bottle of cheap cologne.

The pictures make it look like a pretty nice hotel, but once you get there you can tell it use to be a very low end hotel that they did a quick remodel on. Our room was filthy, so filthy we immediately requested a refund. I am not picky and usually go with the flow, but I could not imagine sleeping in the room. There was unidentified liquids smeared on the walls and doors, the carpet couldn't have been vacuumed for weeks - it was COVERED in dog hair and grass, and the Jacuzzi tub in the room was full of hair and had soap scum in it - clearly wasn't even cleaned. The room smelled like musty dog and half the light switches didn't work. I'm assuming the poor lighting was so guests couldn't see the lack of cleaning. This hotel ruined our anniversary weekend. I just wanted to soak in a hot tub and relax.
