  The hotel, which had its glory days when this area was thriving more than 100 years ago, is very outdated. It is currently being renovated, and that is definitely necessary. So if you book a room during this period, be aware that it may be different from what you expect. In several places, the hotel feels dirty and old. The rooms are also very noisy, which is far from ideal. However, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was extensive. Overall, the experience was acceptable, but I hope the renovation will be completed soon.

  Although sometimes they are hard to reach, when you get through to the hotel, the staff is very accommodating. My son goes to school in the area and we have spent the last four years staying at this hotel. I love the vibes of The historic hotel. The breakfast is always good. I spent a lot of time at hotels, this it the only hotel bar I always end up in at the end of my evening, and in a good conversation with the other patrons and the bartenders. **I want to thank Austin at the front desk who assisted me with my reservation issues this evening. I was frustrated and he was amazing!! I did not give the rooms any stars because I understand they are being updated and I haven’t been there in a good few months. I am heading there this weekend!!

  Most unsafe , nasty hotel I’ve ever seen . No stair exit only elevators. No fire exit plans posted anywhere. Mold sputtering from ac unit. I feel sick after staying here

  Great location, our room was FREEZING, and the "thermometer" did not work, when I tried to plug in my phone the outlet fell out of the wall, another outlet just didnt work. The bathroom was beyond small. I get that its an old hotel and thats part of the charm, but some basic upgrades like heating and electic could definitely be done. My whole family stayed and some of the rooms were much nicer and redone. However others were similar to ours, seems like Luck of the draw.
