We are located in the Laurel Highlands area and close to many attractions for the nature, history or outdoor enthusiast. My wife and I are IHG Diamond Elite members and stay at Holiday Inn's just about every weekend! We call this location back on February 12th and spoke to someone about having our granddaughters 6th birthday swimming party. Was told all we had to do was book a room for the weekend and we could use the pool area, but due to remodeling that was going on the conference room was unavailable, but that the breakfast area would be made available to us. Fast forward to today and one of the managers "Tina" said NO WAY that anyone would of told us we could do this. That the swimming pool was closed and they DO NOT allow outside people to use the pool, only registered guests. Obviously we were very upset! I asked to speak to someone above her! The general manager got on the phone and said she would find out who told us we could do this but that the pool was closed and we were out of luck!!! Thus is absolutely crazy to me!!! Im going to take this as high as I can go!!!! They should not do this to people!!! I absolutely do not recommend this Holiday Inn! I would love for someone from corporate to contact me!!! This is definitely not over!!!
