  Wow! A holiday inn with exceptional front desk staff. We were greeted each time leaving and arriving, always helpful for directions, and the best recommendations! The room was clean. The only negative, the shower had weak pressure and never got hot. BUT the complimentary breakfast was outstanding! Fresh and HOT food, very clean area. If I’m ever back in the area, will choose this hotel again and again.

  Reasonable price and convenient to our venue. That’s about it. Room not as clean as I’d expect. Breakfast not great. You get what you pay for. Concerns with the staff but those are being handled at the corporate level.

  Stayed there 2 night for a Steelers/Bengals game. I'd read that the parking lot could be cramped and full, but it was half empty the whole weekend I was there. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were great and the King Suite Single Sofa Bed I had was nice and spacious. In nice weather its a walkable 2mi to the stadium or less than a mile to the T to get a free ride to the station. The Monongahela Incline is also on the way back from the stadium if you're walking. I'd stay again.

  We needed a stay in Pittsburgh. Fortunately, we were able to get a room at Holiday Inn Express Southside. The location was perfect. The staff was helpful with directions and tips of sights to see. The free breakfast was great and convenient. Kudos also to Shannon who was so nice and answered our many questions. Highly recommend this hotel.

  I stayed here with my Mom for one night and we would have stayed longer, if we could! That alone should be reason enough to give 5 stars! The staff was welcoming, friendly, engaged throughout, from check-in late evening to my morning pre-run convo with the front desk, to breakfast and check-out! The hotel itself is located in a great spot for many different activities plus a fun walk across the bridge for simple Pittsburgh sightseeing! The rooms were very ean, fresh, beds felt good, bathroom amentities were spot on. Lets talk about the breakfast.....Keisha is a queen making sure everything was fully stocked and......she even made crispy bacon which my Mom adores! Great people, great place, for sure. You can stay here with confidence!! (P.S. Trudy at check-out was friendly too!)
