This is one of the better hotels in Philly. If your looking to stay in Philly. This is the one.
The hotel is good. However, the room I had was at the end of the building, close to the cross of a highway and a bridge. The traffic was very noisy at night. It probably took two hours or more for me to get tired enough to fall asleep. Especially, avoid these rooms if you need to drive the next day.

Came back tonight (I didn't have a choice) and had a long talk with the on duty manager regarding our previous night and shared my video with him. I wish he had been the one to take my call last night. I have a hospitality background and he's the guy you want handling a problem. He made sure we would not have a repeat bad experience and set us up with a killer view of the Ben Franklin bridge (my son is over the moon!). I have faith that future guests will not have the same experience. Thanks again, Rob!
Original review:
Well, let's see - it's Sunday June 14, 1:38am, 15 minutes since the front desk said they would 'send someone to look into' the noise from the loud, drunk guys coming from the room? Space? Suite? next door to ours. No staff member has gone to the door. The elevator quite near our room hasn't opened or shut. Perhaps I'll get a response this way? I do have video taken in my room but it features language I'm sure is unbecoming of a Google review.
ETA this was never addressed. I finally fell asleep from exhaustion somewhere between 2:30am and 3am. BTW the in-room phones don't work, even internally. I had to Google the phone number for the front desk.
The hotel is fine. It seems to be fairly recently renovated. Parking lot security staff was friendly. Team member who checked us in was friendly. Noise from the street is negligible, and even though some torrential rain came through tonight, I barely heard a rumble of thunder.
I'm exhausted and I'd like to sleep, though.
Spent 2 nights here for a concert at the Fillmore. Check-in was easy and all staff throughout the stay were pleasant and helpful. Parking is $38 daily with in & out privelages, totally reasonable price for the area. The location is pretty awesome. We walked to the vibrant areas around the hotel and drove to farther locations, like the Rocky statue, New Jersey and Ceasars Palace in Atlantic City is an hour away. Breakfast is full of choice. There were a few big busses with teens that arrived and I thought the morning breakfast would be pillaged but everything was always refilled and kept impeccably clean. Hot choices: eggs, biscuits, gravy, hash browns, sausage and turkey sausage, plus a pancake maker & oatmeal. Cold choices: many breads/ bagels/ cinn buns/ English muffin, yogurt, cereal, fruit, fresh milk and juices. As a bacon lover..I was a touch disappointed but whatever, there was lots of choice. Also, the coffee machine in the lobby was a nice addition as I had a million coffees, it made up for the lack of bacon. A big jug of water and lemon is available in the lobby for guests. I had read a previous post saying water was unavailable and it looks like they remedied this although I've never been opposed to drinking tap water. Each floor has an ice maker, our room had a coffeemaker and fridge, cable TV, reliable wifi. It is a bit noisy right beside the traffic but if you turn the air-conditioner on, even just the fan, you can barely hear a thing. Again, all staff and security were very nice and we read some poor reviews and didn't experience this.
I booked a 2 queen bed room for several days but got a free upgrade because I booked early and the length of the stay. This was the first IHG where my Silver Elite IHG member status was commented verbally as it should have been at the previous 2 hotels.
I selected this location because my friend and I would be going to FAN EXPO Philadelphia 2026 during the last weekend in May. I knew the hotel is next to I-95 and Ben Franklin Bridge when I booked my reservation. I can handle some sound if needed. 1.5 miles to reach the entrance to the convention center on foot was doable for me. My friend got lost the first day but not because of the hotel.
Parking was prepaid when I booked the room since it costs to park in the parking lot next to the hotel.
My friend and I had several difficulties while at the hotel. We each have a phone and I have a power station & electric razor that required charging. Actually, my friend and I each had laptop which required charging. Charging 6 things at once was difficult. I couldn’t charge my phone and laptop since I had to use my wall plugin to keep my computer’s wall charger from falling out of the socket. My friend never brings enough clothes and has to do laundry. Since the hotel didn’t seem to have guest laundry, he went south to a laundromat with a parking lot and did laundry.
I’ve had better and worse breakfasts. I can and will explain. Since I didn’t get to breakfast any morning at 6 AM, I can’t comment about then. However, I usually made it to breakfast closer to 8 something. I understand having a bus load of people visit the buffet can make portion control difficult. However, some days the food was hot and others about room temperature. I prefer hot food but ate what my options were. I did eventually get a coffee cup to use for milk since those cups are too small. The coffee cups are too but larger than the cups next to the juice.
At every other hotel I visited, I left with my room keycards. However, this was the one time I left the two keycards since those can be used to open the gate also.
