  From the moment we began evaluating hotels and meeting space for our company offsite in Philadelphia, the Holiday Inn Express Midtown stood out for its responsiveness, flexibility, and attention to detail. Choosing this property for our July All Company Meeting turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Every expectation was met, and many were exceeded. The rooms were comfortable, the air conditioning was a lifesaver during an extremely hot week, the breakfast was consistently excellent, and the Midtown location made it easy for our team to enjoy everything Philadelphia has to offer. What truly set this property apart, however, was the staff. From thoughtful restaurant recommendations to seamless support throughout our stay, the team went above and beyond to ensure our event was a success. Our entire group agrees it was one of the best offsites we've held. A special thank you to Marney Cronin and the outstanding front desk team for their professionalism, hospitality, and genuine care. We felt welcomed from start to finish and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended for business meetings, team events, and anyone looking for a great Philadelphia experience.

  I know everyone likes to hear about the location and the room services and gym. But today, I'm writing about the most overlooked part of a stay: the breakfast. The spread was impressive, to say the least, with two (2) pancake machines and a hot buffet. But the star of the show were the links sausages. Sweet with a crispy snap to the casing, and cooked to perfection, I ate several full plates to fuel my day in this historic heat. Antonio, Cat, and Preston were on it the whole time. They provided the best hotel breakfast experience I've ever had.

  I was very happy to stay for one night at this Holiday Inn Express. The front desk was welcoming, my room was spotless and the breakfast area was clean and well attended. I was truly impressed by how well this hotel was run. It is well located within less than 2 blocks from City Hall. We arrived early, way before check-in time so I asked if we could park early since we would be mostly on foot and parking is at a premium in Philly. They said no problem! When we came back to check in later that afternoon, I was again greeted warmly and all went smoothly. Our room was immaculate. No dust bunnies in corners, no hidden dirt at the base of the toilet or behind the door. The tub/shower was super clean with no messy grey caulking. The linens were in great shape. The pool area is nicer than the pictures on their website. It has tables, pool loungers and couches. It is a comfortable space. This hotel has included breakfast and the breakfast area was very clean even when busy. The food items were continually stocked and any messes cleaned promptly. I am usually put off by these included self serve breakfasts due to them being messy and generally bad food quality. This one was super clean and well stocked so I was able to have a pretty decent continental breakfast. They have coffee and tea available all day in that area and that was also clean every time I was there. My only issue with this hotel was the layout of the bathroom space. It has a separate sink area with the door closing off the toilet and tub/shower. It would probably be fine where privacy isn't an issue among those sharing the room, but the toilet/shower space is very, very small, making anyone who is larger than a 10 year old have to do bathroom yoga in order to dry off and change clothes. I couldn't help but notice that the sink area had tons of space and if it was included in the shower space, there would have been plenty of room. Perhaps next big remodel this will be considered. Also, there could be more USB ports/outlets around the room. Would I stay here again? Hells yes! A lot of times affordable, comfortable and clean don't always come together. You usually can only get two out of those three. This place is all three.

  Parking is $44. I feel like that should be bold on their website while booking. It is a good location. Independence hall is less than a mile away. Room was larger than I thought it would be which was nice. AC struggled to keep room cool. I got in that evening and left in morning and it barely could keep up. If you were there during the heat of the day you would be sweating. Staff was nice. Breakfast was awesome to be included

  Everything was great, and on par with what we expect when we stay at a holiday inn express. We always appreciate the comfort in knowing we’ll have a clean & comfortable place to stay. This mornings breakfast staff was so polite and attentive. Antonio & Kira, Miss Cat clearly take great pride in getting every guests day off to a great start.
