  GREAT PLACE TO STAY!🌈❤️ they have average prices, EXCEPTIONALLY CLEAN ROOM & 😲H! SUCH A COMFORTABLE BED! (*before leaving, I slept SO WELL that I literally pulled the fitted sheet back to see what brand of a mattress.It was! -(Serta Hotel Series, btw!) 🤩I HAD A FABULOUS, PEACEFUL & UNINTERRUPTED SLEEP HERE!!❤️ and that hasn't happened in YEARS!👍🏼 💐KUDOS for the WHOLE GUEST EXPERIENCE! @ this particular Holiday Inn, it was lovely & deserving of 10⭐️s from this picky chick!😅👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💯

  First I want to say the front desk staff was excellent. That was all. This place over charged us to stay in a dirty hotel. The whole hotel is dirty. Pool has been broken for quite some time yet they say they are waiting for a part. If you scan past reviews you will notice how many people say the pool is closed because they are waiting for a part. I'm guessing it's been years. The condition of the pool tells the story. Looks abandoned. Green water and a terrible smell. They should drain it, clean it and tell people they have no pool when they reserve the room. It's quite a let down when you arrive. One of the two elevators is also out of order and if you check past reviews on this you will see that has been broken for quite some time. Floors in the lobby, dining area and the room are all sticky. Like they use one bucket and mop the entire hotel. The small couch in our room was dirty with three or four stains all over it. Sheets were thin and torn. Don't know what was up with that. Some lights in the room were not working. This place was borderline disgusting. We booked for two nights but checked out the next morning. Hotel rates claim to be in the 80--90 dollar range yet we were charged over 150 per night. I do not want the company to respond to this review because they responded to just about every past review professionally and have done nothing to update the issue. So your response means nothing. I am posting this to save future customers from wasting their time with this hotel. This hotel belongs to the IHG group and I am contacting them as well. I am positive they would not want their brand on this hotel. It will drag their reputation down. So, to sum this up for anyone that's looking for a good place to stay near Hershey, go somewhere else. They should compensate the families that have to endure packing everything up and checking out asap the next morning. I'm sure that happens a lot. I'm sorry for the terrible review, but maybe some updates should be made in the future. Seriously, not a good look for an IHG affiliated hotel.

  Our stay at the Holiday Inn Harrisburg East / Middletown (Room 406) was a total disappointment. The hotel advertised on-site EV chargers, but arriving late at night, we found only empty spots with no working chargers, forcing me to leave at 2:00 AM to find a public Supercharger. To make matters worse, the pool was closed for maintenance without any prior notice, completely ruining our family's plans. The room itself was in awful condition: Torn, chipped, and heavily damaged furniture. Loose screws on the toilet paper holder and door lock holder that kept falling apart. A broken coffee machine and an inoperable bathroom exhaust fan that caused lingering odors in the room. The room phone was wrongly programmed as Extension 405 instead of 406. We raised these issues with the front desk, but they only offered a room change on our last night, which was useless given our late schedule and morning departure. For the price paid, this property fell drastically short of Holiday Inn's expected standard.

  When we arrived we were immediately told the pool was not working which was a bummer because that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel and there was no notice of this when booking . There was 5 of us in one room and no bedding for the pull-out and only a couple towels. When I called down for pillows and bedding they said they would send it up but never did ,my husband had to go down to get them as well as extra towels. Also, the shower stopped working several times while each of use were trying to shower. Only one elevator was working and it was very slow. It was better to take the steps and we were on the sixth floor. Our bed linen, the couch and mattresses had stains on it. Also are key cards stopped working and we had to get new cards made. I would not recommend this hotel. I only gave 2 stars because some of the staff were nice. If updates were made it could have potential.

  I recently stayed at this property for a quick trip. While management did eventually step in to resolve my concerns post-checkout, the room condition and facility maintenance fell well below expectations for an IHG property. Upon checking into the room, I encountered several notable housekeeping and maintenance failures: there were spots that appeared to be blood on the bed skirt, a used dirty towel left hanging on the bathroom door, white spots across a damaged TV display, and heavily worn furniture. Additionally, one of the main elevators was out of service, leaving a single working elevator for all 7 floors and causing significant delays when moving luggage. I brought my concerns to the front desk at checkout and was told a manager would reach out. It took direct follow-up on my end to get in touch, but once management got involved, they took accountability for the situation and provided appropriate point compensation to address the stay. While I appreciate management taking responsibility to make things right after the fact, the baseline cleanliness, room inspection, and property maintenance procedures at this location definitely need improvement.
