Absolutely horrible hotel. I booked this hotel for my husband's birthday, as we always book with IHG when possible.
When we arrived no one was at the front desk. Didn't think anything of it as the parking lot was full. We rang the bell and waited about 10 minutes, rang it again. I said I guess I better look up the number for the front desk. Called, it rang and rang and no one came. My husband said he was going to go walk around. He checked out a couple floors and didn't see or hear anyone. I emailed the email address they had on the front desk sign. No response from Tiffany.
Called IHG directly and they offered no support, they just kept putting us on hold and calling the front desk, then telling us someone should be there. They got us off the phone so they could investigate more and promised they'd call back in 10 minutes. They called back around a half hour later and asked if someone is there. No, no one is here. We asked how long we had to wait? Until the next shift comes in? They just kept saying someone should be there soon.
As we were waiting so long I went to use the washroom in the lobby, and noticed the room beside it was open. This just looks like a safety hazard.
Overall we were happy with the stay. The room was nice, quiet and newly renovated. The only issue we had was the bathroom was poorly cleaned from previous tenant, long dark hairs on toilet & shower and the AC unit rattled like a banshee while running.
Though this hotel is going through renovations I will give it benefit of the doubt about what it will be at completion. The check in experience was probably the fastest we have ever had after booking online while on the road. Very competent and friendly service counter attendant. The room was clean and seems to have been renovated recently except the tub/shower. Air/temp stayed very consistent all night. There are several good restaurants neaby as well as shopping centers. The negatives were outside highway noise was noticeable even with the AC fan running. The parking lot is rough and needs a repave maybe due to the construction equipment. It's also a distance from I-81 at just over 6 miles. Overall good experience.

This hotel should be closed!! Construction materials everywhere make walking dangerous. All the stairways were under construction making the elevator the only way to get up and down. Tripping hazards everywhere and no wheelchair access due to the construction. We specified handicapped access but got 2 hearing impaired rooms on the 2nd floor without access.
There is/was NOTHING on their website that indicated MAJOR CONSTRUCTION.
The hotel employees were very apologetic and kind. The rooms (2) were nice but not finished (there were already pet stains on the carpet but no smell). The breakfast was good with lots of options.
However, none of that changes the fact the hotel should not have been open.
As an IHG Platinum member, I’ve always had positive experiences staying at various Holiday Inn properties. Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing.
We found a strand of hair in the bed that clearly didn’t belong to our family, as the hair color didn’t match ours. After my son showered and dried off with a hotel towel, we also found a white hair on his body, which raised concerns about the housekeeping standards.
The hotel is currently under renovation, and our room had a strong renovation-related odor that made it uncomfortable. While we understand renovations are temporary, cleanliness and guest comfort should never be compromised.
