  Room is too small if you are a big guy. Room card key was not working and I have to go back not once but twice to get it done.

  First time at an Avid Hotel and it won't be my last. This hotel was included in one of our overnight bus tour stops. The room was clean, a bit small, but it served it's purpose. The continental breakfast is one of the better ones I've had! The staff was excellent! I can't remember her name, but she went out of her way to make you feel welcome and kept the area clean!

  It was mid week and they were out of coffee and most breakfast items. There is only one microwave in the building and its on the bottom floor and had a line for it in the evening. A microwave should be standard in the room especially if you offer a refrigerator and the guests have kids they do not want to leave unattended. Rooms were ok but small even for a standard hotel room. Also there are only soap dispensers about 5 feet off the ground versus bar soap in the bathroom which made it so the kids could not wash their hands without an adult. Unfortunately this hotel does not line up with many of these reviews and we stay at a lot of places. Recommend looking into the Best Western brand up in this region as they have done a great job.

  I'd love to share my experience at Avid Hotel in Lancaster by first stating that I have worked in customer service for 15+ years and pride myself in recognizing true talent and quality. This hotel is one of the cleanest and neatest hotels I've ever stayed in, but what I'd really like to write about are the amazing staff that are 75% of the reason that I will be staying here again in the future. My first encounter was with the General Manager, Michael. He truly is exceptional at his profession. Thorough, helpful, knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. I spilt a beverage in my room and went to the front desk for assistance. Michael promptly sent up house keeping to my room and they were so kind! I went outside with my husband to give Eduardo and Grisel (the housekeeping staff) space while they helped me. Mind you, my room is on the 4th floor. After they were done, they came outside to find us just to tell us that the spill has been cleaned. I'm sure they are busy and yet they still took the time to find us. Thank you, Eduardo and Grisel. Your kindness and hard work speak volumes. I am so pleased to share this next part with you! I went down to breakfast and made my husband and I plates to bring to the room. My hands were full and I was managing, barely Lol. Miss. T saw me by the elevator, rushed over and asked me what floor I'm on and proceeded to help me. Her spirit is vibrant! I adore her already! I then had the pleasure of meeting Robin who works along side of Miss. T and the two of them together is electric. I haven't been blessed with meeting such genuine women for quite some time now and so kind. Miss. T and Robin, you made my morning special and brought many smiles to my face and I'm blessed to have met you! I look forward to seeing you all again in the future. You're all amazing at what you do and who you are as people!
