  Honestly, we were very disappointed with our stay at Paradise Stream. The front desk staff was completely unhelpful and had an attitude every time we needed assistance. Instead of trying to actually help, it felt like we were bothering them. To make things worse, on the day we were checking out, we had no waterrr. You can imagine how frustrating that was when we NEEDED to shower before leaving. We brought the issue to the front desk expecting them to fix it or at least offer some kind of solution, but instead we were basically told to talk to the manager WHICH IS NOT THERE AND CALL HIM TMR!!!!!!! The billing process was also frustrating. They say room charge, but they needed your car information every time and they ran it!!!! By the end of the stay, we were charged twice and had to wait for the duplicate charge to clear, that what we were basically told!!! That was extremely inconvenient and should have been handled much more professionally. For $500 a night, this place is completely overrated and Outdated….. When you’re paying that much, the bare minimum is having working water, accurate billing, and staff who actually care when there’s a problem. Unfortunately, the poor customer service and billing issues made an already frustrating stay even worse. Definitely not the experience we expected, and based on the customer service, billing problems, and overpriced rooms, I wouldn’t recommend it.

  My husband and I stayed at the Garden of Eden - paradise stream resort. Jet tub, small pool and sauna for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We got into our room and it was an overpowering mold smell. Upon further review the ENTIRE wall in the pool area was BLACK MOLD!! This was not something that happened overnight so there HAD to be more complaints about this room. Went to the front desk and our room was switched. Fine We got to our new room, set our stuff down and left to find something to do with half of the stuff that was run down there. Got back into our room for the night, slept. We got up the next morning , and when we stepped in the shower black was coming from our feet… from the walk from the bed to the shower… maybe 10 steps. floors were so dirty (dark colored floors mind you) they made the water black… We took the sheets off the bed- BIG MISTAKE- ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! And that was just the rooms!!! I don’t have time to mention all of the issues and cob patch jobs they are doing on the buildings… We ended up going to from desk to leave early, NOT ONE TIME was there an apology and the person (Diane) we spoke with was damn near offended we were telling her this information… breakfast was horrible besides the make your own waffles. Nasty eggs, Sausage was pink inside , fruit was soggy etc… For what they charge they need to use some of that to improve the buildings. DO NOT GO HERE USE YOUR MONEY TO TRAVEL SOMEWHERE ELSE.. 1200.00 for two nights and was BEYOND disappointed.. The ONLY thing they did right was reimburse me for my one night… we were there less than 24 hours.

  Where do i start ? Is it the moldy rooms or rust filled pools? This place is literally the opposite of what couples deserve. Terrible staff, lackluster facilities and just pure dysfunction. Make sure you all speak with Diane the Manager on Duty. One of the most incompetent staff members ive ever met and I travel for a living. The sheer mismanagement and treatment of my wife and I while here on her birthday cannot be overstated. I had other options but I cannot believe I ended up here. I highly recommend you spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

  TLDR: vintage in a cute way and very clean! Great place for a romantic resort getaway with nice rooms, tons of activities, and on site bars and restaurants. Came here on my honeymoon this summer. My husband and I are from the south and had originally planned to go on a big international trip for our honeymoon, but we waited too long to book and prices got crazy. So we decided to do a domestic honeymoon instead. And what better place to go than the former honeymoon capital of the US in the Poconos! I’m actually so happy we ended up here rather than running around another continent. I think we had a much better time because of how relaxed it was. I love a kitschy vintage feel and so does he. So this resort seemed perfect. The champagne tower suite did not disappoint!! We absolutely loved the giant champagne glass bathtub. The in-room heart shaped pool was amazing to cool off in. He used the sauna and said it was great. The round king sized bed was great. And we loved the twinkling star ceiling above both the bed and champagne bathtub. The suite was very large and very cute. A little vintage honeymoon dream. Everything was clean and nicely maintained. The grounds themselves were cute. It’s right by a pretty stream. There were a ton of activities to do. We did outdoor mini golf, indoor mini golf, duck pin bowling, arcade games, outdoor bowling, shuffleboard, horseshoes, archery, paddle boating, fishing, and nature trails. There are also group activities that the CXO organizes like bingo and trivia nights. We did pretty much every activity at least once and had so much fun. We even won trivia night and got little medals to wear and coupons for the gift shop. They also had horse and carriage rides around the property on one of the days we were there, so we did that too. There’s also a cute little gazebo, a fire pit that they lit a few nights, and a tiki bar by the outdoor pool that was open on the weekend. There’s also a “nightclub,” but that title is a little misleading as it closes by midnight every night. But we did play the newlywed game there and also saw a DJ set and a comedian perform, so I’d still recommend checking their schedule. They have two public pools and hot tubs, but we didn’t use them because we had the little pool in our suite, so I can’t comment on those. There was enough to do between the activities and in-suite amenities that we didn’t leave the property at all between check in and check out- about six days. It was truly perfect to decompress and reconnect with each other after our stressful wedding. The on site restaurants were just okay. The bar and grill that’s open for lunch and dinner was good, but is like standard chain restaurant quality. Nothing to write home about, but more than okay for an easy vacation meal. We also got it delivered to our room for lunch a few times, which was super convenient. The main restaurant for dinner was honestly not good and not worth the price. We only ate there once and had a pretty bad experience. For the other dinners, we went back to the bar and grill or had outside food delivered. Overall, a decent food experience. Even though it’s up in the mountains, there are still things nearby, which was SO NICE. there was a gas station across the street. So we could still get snacks or drinks in the middle of the night after everything on site was closed. We also used an outside food delivery service a few times, which was nice. Overall, amazing experience. My husband and I can’t stop talking about what a great time we had and how we really want to go back. We may end up coming back here for our first anniversary because we loved it that much. If you like a cute, kitschy, vintage, not overcrowded, laid back, adults only resort, with on site food and activities, I’d HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

  Ok there are a lot of terrible reviews of this place so I'm gonna actually leave a review for once. It's quaint, and it feels outdated, but for the most part that makes it feel relaxing. The staff was lovely. We were there for a week so we interacted with tons of different staff members and had like one not so great experience. Everyone was helpful and happy to help with whatever. They were very accommodating and friendly, however there seemed to be a general lack of standardization in some processes, likely due to newer staff being taught differently. We stayed in a lakeside villa, and mostly loved the room. If they power washed the outside, replaced the carpet, and did some serious scrubbing of the grout in between all the tiles, it would be 5-star rooms. (those things go for pretty much the whole property.) We met a member of the housekeeping staff and a member of the facilities staff and they were lovely and helpful, however we did need to get fresh sheets on the first night as there was hair on the ones that were there initially. The food was solid. Dinner was great, and breakfast was entirely sufficient but nothing to brag about. We got the breakfast and dinner included stay and I highly recommend that. Dessert was also included and it was all great. The servers were generally super friendly and quick, but during some of the busier meal times it seemed like they still had a lot of side tasks and it made the service take longer. The activities were a very mixed bag. The ones run by Megan where great, she was wonderful and we had a lot of fun with those. The fishing was fun, the guy overseeing fishing and boating was super cool as well. The boats were in good condition for the most part and it was quite nice. The indoor games were in pretty good condition as well, but outdoor not so much. The pool was fine, just looked a little murky. The basketball, tennis, outdoor bowling, and archery were all rather overgrown and poorly kept. The outdoor mini golf was fine. The fitness center was in good condition and seemed pretty new. I would love to see the property get the love it deserves so it can last a long time longer and not meet the same fate as so many of this type of resort seem to have met already. It has a lot of potential to be a huge hotspot, but the property itself needs some updating and lots of little repairs. We certainly plan to return someday, because most of our experience there was quite lovely.
