Nice, large rooms with good, basic furnishings. Close to everything in King of Prussia. Near the turnpike so you get some auto noise on the front side of hotel.

First of all, Monica at the front desk was a pleasure! The suite was nice and clean. Only cons were that the Balcony area was kinda dingy, and the a/c in part of the suite wasn’t working.

Pretty good Holiday Inn Express. Worst thing was the decrepit elevators. If youre in the rooms that face the highway, the balcony doors are not sound-proof so there will be noise. Bring ear plugs.
Lots of parking & breakfast was the standard one.

Listen - I’ve spent hundreds of nights in IHG properties across the nation, and I even enjoyed staying in this hotel a year ago - so much so, that when work brought be back to King of Prussia, I decided to stay there again.
Big mistake.
I have details and documentation that I could get into, but for the sake of simplicity for this review, I’ll keep it short; essentially, either one or several of the units were smoking pot and it was filling my room. I first noticed it Thursday night of my stay, but I honestly thought I was just crazy - it primarily was entering into my bedroom and came in waves. Friday night, it was much worse. My bedroom reeked and I did not feel comfortable sleeping in there. I reported this to staff, heard nothing back, checked back in with them, and they confirmed they hadn’t done anything to deter my neighbors from smoking. There were also no other rooms they could switch me into. They said they’d contact me in the morning to switch me into another room, and that never happened. Same thing Saturday night - my unit was slowly being hotboxed by my neighbors, no matter what I did. I had turned off all AC units, turned on the bathroom fan, closed the balcony doors, even put a towel over the AC vents, and still my unit was slowly being hotboxed. I reported it again, and there were still no rooms for me to switch into. I asked if they could tell the people, likely smoking on their balconies, that they needed to smoke in the parking lot. They said they would. After another hour, with the pot smell continuing to fill my unit and become more concentrated, I had had enough. I ended up booking a room at a different hotel. As I was packing my car, I looked up at the balconies from the far end of the parking lot & could see people smoking on their balconies. It’s clear that this hotel doesn’t take the comfort of their guests all too seriously, as long as they maximize their guest capacity. I’m shocked that I was expected to just be okay with being hotboxed all night throughout my stay. I don’t care if people smoke pot, but I should be able to be in my unit that I’m paying for and be away from the smell, not have my unit absolutely FILLED with pot. I cannot exaggerate this - it was so concentrated in my unit, it became extremely uncomfortable. I’ve never had an experience like this in any IHG property before.

My opinion is that if the inspectors from IHG walked this property, it would possibly no longer be a Holiday Inn Express. I stay at 2 to 3 Holiday Inn Express hotels every single business week unless on vacation, Diamond Level, and this hotel is NOT properly cleaned, repaired or maintained.
My room last night:
1) Refrigerator containing food from previous guest. How do you miss that?
2) Diverter Valve (pull-up button) on tub spout stuck solid in one position. No maintenance - just waiting on reviews or complaints to find out what is or is not working.
3) Caulk Joint on bathroom sink countertop ridiculously bad. Worse than if a beginner did it.
4) Grime on floor next to kitchen cabinet has been there a long, long time. No words.
5) Sliding glass door was partially open (and therefore not locked). Not a bit dangerous!
6) Food particles on carpet.
This is no way to run a hotel. Holiday Inn Express properties do very well just about anywhere they build one. No excuse for this.
