    Candlewood Suites shorted me $183, when they were unable to give me the type of room that I had reserved on their site—and tried to put me into an inferior room that was unsuitable for our needs. I made a reservation at Candlewood Suites Harrisburg – Hershey for 4/22—4/26/2026. I reserved a “1 Queen 1 Bdrm Ste Comm Access Roll Shwr” (which indicated that it had “1 Bedroom with Living, Dining and Kitchen”, and a “Sofa bed”). When I arrived they said that they did not have that room available (one “…with Living, …” and a “Sofa bed”)—PROMISE #1 BROKEN. The front desk agent mentioned that this happens often, and said that it was likely a fault of a 3rd party site. I informed her that no, I ordered this directly from IHGs/Candlewood’s site! Therefore, since I was STUCK, without a hotel room, they instead offered me a “1 Qn Studio Suite Mobil Access Roll Shwr”. My wife took one look at the room, and said that it would not be suitable for her/our situation. We also noted that the refrigerator was very noisy. Therefore, I told the front desk agent to cancel our reservation and room entirely. They said that they can cancel part now, but that the Manager would need to handle the rest of it in the morning, and that I would receive an email. I never got such email—PROMISE #2 BROKEN. They charged me $(755.03). However, they only reimbursed me for $571.54, thereby robbing me of $(183.49). Ironically, when I spent the next 3—4 hours trying to find another hotel room that would meet our needs, I spoke with an IHG customer service agent who tried to tell me that they had a “1 Queen 1 Bdrm Ste Comm Access Roll Shwr” available. I had to tell them that no, they don’t have that room—I was just there! I then used IHG’s text support. They tried to be helpful, but they told me that “…you will be contacted by hotel management member … no later than 48 hours.” Hotel management has still NOT contacted me on this—PROMISE #3 BROKEN! I have no intention of ever considering a Candlewood Suites again!

    This hotel is just not clean, not even enough to almost feel comfortable. The housekeeping is lacking in every single way! The room 112 smells of old stale cigarette smoke and wet dog. The floors were slimy and dirty, (I do not recommend that you take your shoes off or put your luggage on the floor.) There is mold on the soap dispenser in the shower, a layer of dust on almost everything not touched on a regular basis. The hotel is in desperate need of a deep cleaning, new flooring, especially the carpeting, and basic updates. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

    Wanted a little getaway with my significant other to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but to still be close to home if need be. This was the PERFECT choice in properties. Nila and Kenny have made us feel so welcome, comfortable and right at home. We've even ended up staying longer then we booked just for the fact everything was so perfect and we just didn't want to leave the stress free environment and go back to the monotony of life. We will ABSOLUTELY be back sooner rather then later!! Keep up the amazing work guy's! Your awesome!

    The Ultimate Home Away from Home I stayed here for a week while on a business trip, and I couldn't have been more impressed. Having a full kitchen with a stovetop and dishwasher made a world of difference—I actually got to cook real meals instead of eating out every night. The Lending Locker is a genius touch; I was able to borrow a blender for my morning smoothies! The room was spotless, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking for more than just a standard hotel room.
