- MGMark GretzAug 14, 20262.0I have elite gold status so stay in a lot of Holiday inn properties. This place is terrible. We entered our room to incredibly musty smell. There was dehumidifier on floor but was as loud as an aircraft engine so of no use. The AC fan ran but never heard the compressor turn on so not sure we even had AC. The window to outside was foggy. Additionally it’s very dated. The bedside lights look rusted. The only reason I gave it a two was because the breakfast bar was pretty good.

The location is very convenient, particularly with the Squirrel Hill Tunnel being closed and the hotel being close to Route 28 and the PA Turnpike. The staff was fantastic and the breakfast at this hotel was very good. The bathroom in my hotel room had recently been renovated and was clean, and the bed and some of the other furniture were nice as well. However, an armchair in the room and the linoleum flooring in the bedroom area need to be replaced. Doors opening and closing in the hallway could also be quite loud. While I think this hotel is comfortably a three-star hotel, and I can't praise the staff highly enough, it was expensive and would benefit from some renovations to the guestrooms once the summer season ends.
