  We have stayed before and were disappointed in the cleanliness and overall condition of the place but due to it's location in Harmarville it was convenient for when we visited near by family. This last visit was the worst. We had to switch rooms four times before finding a room that was cleaned ahead of time. The first three rooms were filthy with hair and slime on the shower curtain, long hair between the sheets, a sink that didn't drain, a toilet that did not stop running, and food crumbs scattered through the floor. All of lamp fixtures were covered with rust and most alarming were the fire escape stair wells whose doors did not close and the handles were partially detached. This is not indicative of Holiday Inn Express but we will never be returning to this hotel.

  Dangerous and uncaring. I booked three rooms as a one night driving break as my family made our way to Washington DC. During the middle of the night my bill was shoved carelessly under my mother's door. At four in the morning sleepy and not really awake she slipped on the paper and fell to the floor where she stayed until I found her two hours later. After tending to her I sat her downstairs for breakfast and attempted to discuss this with the reception staff. I was advised it was "common" to slide the paid invoice under the door as workmen often leave early and appreciate not having to wait for this at the desk. My mother is nearly 70 years old so clearly not a workman. I paid for all of the rooms and therefore I should have been the only person to receive any invoices. I find the properties employee beyond inconsiderate and the breach of data protection down right criminal. My name and credit card details should never have been placed under any door. My mother should have never had the paper there to slip on and I should not have to leave this review. I warn you all please be careful what information you share and who they share it with. Please be careful when staying at this property and try not to slip on paper laying in the middle of your floor. Regarding the room itself, there is limescale build up around the taps where legionaries bacteria can and most likely is growing. Which was found in all three rooms. The doors are not up to proper fire safety standards and the vents in the HVAC system in the room is seriously overdue for a clean in the rooms we occupied. Stay somewhere else.

  Room was a total swamp. Ive never stayed in a room that was so humid. The humidity was so bad all of the lamps in thecroom were rusting. The TV was the size of a computer monitor. The security latch on the door was glued on and super flimsy. Someone clearly kicked the door in at some point and rather than replace the door or fix it properly they used putty to patch the door. The location and parking lot were also super sketchy.

  I have elite gold status so stay in a lot of Holiday inn properties. This place is terrible. We entered our room to incredibly musty smell. There was dehumidifier on floor but was as loud as an aircraft engine so of no use. The AC fan ran but never heard the compressor turn on so not sure we even had AC. The window to outside was foggy. Additionally it’s very dated. The bedside lights look rusted. The only reason I gave it a two was because the breakfast bar was pretty good.
