  ## Diamond Elite Member – Disappointed by the Dishonesty, Not Just the Service I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. I am an **IHG Diamond Elite Member**, and my small business has spent **251 nights in IHG hotels during 2026 alone**—well over **$44,000** in hotel stays. I know what to expect from IHG properties, and I understand that late checkout benefits are always subject to availability. My son and I were staying here while attending his sporting tournament. When his team unexpectedly advanced to the championship game, I requested a later checkout. I was repeatedly told the hotel could not honor the typical Diamond Elite late checkout because **housekeeping finished for the day at 3:00 PM**. I accepted a 12:30 PM extension, then later a 1:00 PM extension after the championship game was moved to 2:00 PM. I even asked if housekeeping could simply clean other rooms first and return to mine later in the afternoon. I was told that wasn't possible. I eventually contacted IHG Diamond Elite Customer Service, and after they spoke with the hotel, they were given the exact same explanation. We ultimately compromised by booking an additional night using IHG points. Here's the problem. When my son and I returned to the hotel around **3:30 PM**, housekeeping was **still actively cleaning rooms on our floor**, and **our room had not yet been serviced**. That means the two reasons repeatedly given for denying my request simply weren't true: * Housekeeping did **not** finish at 3:00 PM. * Housekeeping **could** have cleaned other rooms first and returned to ours later, exactly as I had suggested. If the hotel had simply told me they chose not to extend my checkout because they were busy or fully committed, I wouldn't have liked the answer, but I would have respected the honesty. Instead, I was given explanations that proved to be false. That unnecessary stress distracted me from enjoying my son's championship game—something I can never get back. The issue isn't that I was denied a late checkout. The issue is that a loyal guest who spends tens of thousands of dollars with IHG each year was given information that turned out to be inaccurate. The front desk staff was courteous, but honesty matters. I hope hotel management addresses this because trust is every bit as important as clean rooms and comfortable beds.

  This location is a joke. Burnt eggs at breakfast, burnt bacon, and no signature cinnamon buns as this hotel.is supposed to have. Won't ever be back to this location.

  If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. The room was filthy from the moment we arrived. We found wet towels that appeared to have been used and simply refolded, which was extremely concerning. The ceiling looked like it was on the verge of collapsing, and there was some kind of residue or debris on the bathroom wall. The shower floor was especially dirty, and the overall condition of the room was unacceptable. The entire property felt neglected and unsanitary. This was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had, and we would never stay here again.

  I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I requested either a late checkout or the option to pay for an additional night so I could extend my stay, related to a tournament, but neither request was accommodated. What made the situation worse was the attitude of the staff. Rather than trying to help or explore any possible solutions, they came across as dismissive and condescending, making it feel like they simply didn’t want to be bothered with my request. The interaction lacked professionalism and customer service. The unwillingness to even attempt to accommodate a reasonable request left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I would not choose to stay here again or recommend this hotel to others.
