- JGJordan GarciaMay 27, 20262.0Three night stay on Memorial Day weekend. We choose Holiday Inn Express for all of our trips because the experience should be consistent. This wasn't it, chief. The thermostat in the room has a very bright screen with no option to turn off which made sleeping difficult. The bathroom fixtures like the toilet papr holder were loose. I commend them for actually having ventilation in the bathroom; it seems like not enough of these Holiday Inn Express locations have a bathroom fan. The rest of the room was comfortable and what you'd expect. The lobby has signs all over the place saying "ABSOLUTELY NO ALCOHOL IN THE PUBLIC AREAS" but in my three night stay there were people hanging out in the public areas with buckets of beer. The presence of alcohol doesn't bother me, but if you're gonna make a rule then it should be enforced. The biggest stain on my visit was that I got racially profiled by one of the people at front desk. I needed to get some more towels for our room on Saturday. A gentleman in front of me with dark skin, possibly of Indian descent was squaring away details of his reservation or something. After he finished, I was next in line and was asked "oh, you're also with him?" I've been mistaken for someone of Indian descent before (I'm half Mexican), but that's like asking two white guys if they're family just because they're both white. Even after I told her I was not with this guy, with no apology she asked if I was in the same room as this man that was just in front of me. I hate to even complain because I never play the race card, but this genuinely made me uncomfortable. The breakfast crew was wonderful, however. They were very sweet and prepared delicious food and kept the eating area clean. Sadly, I do not recommend this location.
