  Comfortable beds and ice cold air conditioning. Nice pool. Easy access to food and gas nearby. Close to Dorney and a few other things which is nice. Lost a star for its unfortunate closeness to the noisy roads, and for no breakfast. Free parking is great! Would stay again

  I've stayed at this hotel three times in the last year and a half. Unfortunately this last time it was one of the dirtiest hotels I've stayed in. We arrived around 1030pm so we had to get kids to bed. The carpet was still dirty with crumbs all over ( asked two-three times to have it vacuumed....never happened). The tile floor was filthy. We had to ask for them to clean that also. The worst part was the carpet. We had to bleach our toddlers pajamas because the carpet was so dirty. We actually had to clean everyone's feet before putting clean socks or shoes on. Probably will not be back to this property. I was also told points would be deposited into my IHG account ( still haven't seen those) and the manager has yet to call. The attached photo is after we wiped our two youngest feet prior to leaving.

  I had mold in my bathroom. The toilet was not clean. The staff was very nice and friendly. The grill area was it was OK. They didn’t clean the grills. The girls was dirty when we went out there. I’m in. It should’ve been clean. The pool was all right. The overall experience is great because it’s next to the casino. Other than that I was I was very disappointed with this Hotel.

  On June 24th 2026 we checked in here for a 4 night stay in Pennsylvania. We had tickets to see Luke Bryan in concert, tickets for Hershey Park and even hit Knoebels Amusement park on the way home. The hotel is located close to what still remains of the old Bethlehem Steel plant. We actually took the group tour there and enjoyed it. There is a Sheets gas station store and a brand new Taco Bell located directly across the street from the hotel. The parking lot is fairly big. They even have a little outdoor pavilion with a few grills you can use. The hotel is really clean. It was very quiet when we stayed. The lobby and convenience food was top notch. The room was excellent. I always enjoy Candlewood Suites because of their room layouts witch include a kitchen. I dont mean a tiny can fridge and microwave, this place gives you a full size fridge, microwave, dishes, pots, cabinets, a kitchen sink, an oven top range and a dishwasher. There was also a huge desk table area, an office chair, a reclining chair and a decent size tv. I even liked thar the window in the room actually allowed you to open it a little to let in fresh air. The bed was clean and comfortable. 4 huge pillows on the bed. The bathroom was big with lots of counter and shelf accommodations for your stuff. Only downside was the tub itself. It did not have a working drain stop that you would typically open or close for a bath or a shower. Whenever we showered the water in the tub filled up pass your ankles. The water drained very slowly. Probably a good 25 min wait for all the water to drain from the tub. I am giving Candlewood Suites in Bethlehem South a 4 out of 5 stars. I really enjoyed this hotel and the room itself. However, they lost 1 star for the slow inconvenient bath tub drain. My only complaint.
