I stay in Hotels 25-30 weeks a year and the majority are IHG hotels. I checked into the Holiday Inn Portland NW and as I always do I checked that the toilet flushes before using it. I found that the toilet in my room would not flush. Not the first time that has happened but usually when I call down to the front desk someone brings up a plunger. Instead I had the front desk clerk tell me I need to come get a plunger because she cant leave the front desk. So not only do I have to clear somebody else’s toilet clog, I have to go get a nasty plunger and cary it through the hotel back to my room! When i questioned if it was appropriate to require the guest to come get a plunger I was met with “if you want your toilet to flush”. Definitely wont be staying here again, and really questioning if I will continue to use IHG at all anymore.

Very clean, extremely helpful staff, and parking was free and easy which is a god send anywhere near downtown.

While getting breakfast this morning on the hotel property , I was racially profiled when a female employee named “GINA” tried to grab my hand and ask me to leave, after rudely assuming I was homeless. Also did not apologize after explaining to her that I was a paying guest. This is no way to treat a paying customer

Outdated hotel. Parking is tight but free! Location is great right in downtown. Breakfast is free. Service was ok. I didn't like that the front entrance is locked 24/7 and you need a key to enter. When I arrived to check in (3pm) the door was locked and I had to wait outside pressing the button multiple times for staff to let me in. There is no side door or other entrance to use. In order to use garage parking you have to check with front desk every time you enter which is annoying. Overall just ok. I will not return

Location was in safe neighborhood, though not a very busy one. Dutch Bros, Jack in the box, and a convenience store right there. Rooms were nice and breakfast was good.
