  The only reason I’m giving this motel one star is because I can’t give a zero star. Worse place I have ever stayed at. First off, I got charged $30 for checking in 2 hrs early. Then they screwed up my checking-in and checked me in under a different reservation (which was for a six night instead of the 2 nights I booked online for). I was too tired when I checked in to look at the details so I didn’t catch the mistake until 2 days later when I tried to check out. I was told that my reservation was for 6 nights and if I choose to leave I would be forfeiting the remaining balance and no refund will be issued. I tried to show the online reservation document to the manager but she won’t even listen. So consequently, my charge was charge for 6 nights PLUS “no show fee” for my actual 2 nights booking. Despite, the hotel admitting that they screwed up, they still haven’t issued a refund for the no show fee. At this am considering taking legal action against this motel for fraud. Be careful guys when you stay at this place ...check all the details

  I was very disappointed by my experience at the Portland Suites, the room and the floor we are on smelled of smoke and marijuana when we called to complain they did bring up a machine to temporarily relieve some of the smell but it was only for a brief time then the smell came back, they didn’t offer us a room change. The pool area was nice however upon return to my room there was no hot water and I was told to wait 15 minutes and try again. It was close to midnight and I could hear arguing and fighting in the parking lot outside our hotel window. I would not reccomend staying in this hotel! Update still no hot water over an hour later! We did make a third complaint to the overnight staff who at 11:30 pm agreed to move us to a new room, apparently the fourth floor was completely out of hot water but the third was not. The shower was still only like warm but happy to be moved into a room that does not smell so much of smoke even if it almost took until the next day, happy to get some sleep, hopefully
